Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
You guys clearly don't normally order replacement parts from Dell (or HP) because this is perfectly normal. For the love of all that is holy, they actually put them all in the same box this time. I've seen tiny items packed, one each, into shipping boxes 2ft cubed.
It's a shame I don't do...
If Zuckerberg was really fed up, he's just sell Facebook. Shutting down just doesn't make any sense. I find it hard to believe than anyone would be stupid enough to believe this rumour.
Truthfully, any 5-year old xbox 360 is living on borrowed time. Nearly all of the launch units have already died. My 360 is 2 years old now so I'm hoping they fixed the problem by the falcon generation but I have my doubts. Oh well, the 360 is only $200 anyway (sorry kiddies).
You can get the same calibre of content on the web for nothing and in most cases without ads. Magazines don't compete with websites on speed of content delivery (magazines are written months in advance), price, features, or accessibility. I expect that they will probably die out eventually but...
I used to have that exact same issue, then I switched to a 3rd-party ISP (Teksavvy) and how I have 15mbps/1mbps service (although I actually get higher speeds than advertised) for $54.95/month without a cap. It's worth looking into for any of you who are annoyed with Rogers/Bells shared...
physx is now basically a physics engine that supports CUDA and the CPU. If they expand that to support OpenCL or DirectCompute I see it staying around for a long time. If they keep only supporting Nvidia cards I see physx as being hamstrung compared to the competition.
It was pretty short-sighted to buy LCDs with only VGA inputs a few years ago. Sometimes you pay the price for that sort of thing.
VGA should have died with the CRT, there is no reason they ever should have put them on LCDs.
Isn't Groupon's current gross market capitalization about 2B? They're preitty stupid to say no to $6B. I can't see the business model working long term, most businesses that have offered Groupons don't like the idea of doing it again. They attract the hated "devil" consumer.
This sounds about like much more effort than streaming rentals. It's like taking a step backwards halfway back to the Blockbuster model.
I certainly wouldn't invest in this company, it's a really bad idea. Also, how are they going to manage to convince the content owners to do this?
My HDMI Cable cost me $9.99, Because I believe in the goodness of my fellow man that means this cable must be 70x as good! We all must order 2 or 3 right away!
Anyone who said WinFS, the entire project was canned. We will never see WinFS, although they are working on something to replace it that may eventually be branded WinFS.
I want to see Microsoft embrace .NET and with it a more consistent design aesthetic (Via WPF). Relegating native code to a compatibility layer would do wonders for security and could really improve .NET performance.
As you might have guess I'm a software developer and my speciality is .NET...
Any anti-virus that uses kernel hooking is an enormous security flaw, probably worse than not having AV installed. MSE is the only anti-virus I can think of that doesn't use kernel hooks so that what I'm using on all my systems.
