Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
Sorry for the totally newbie questions but this is my first build and my first amd experience. I purchased the retail 3500+ winnie from zzf and was wondering if the grey square in the middle of the heat sink fan is the thermal pad? Do I need to purchase separate thermal paste and apply it...
Thanks for the info, that's a relief. I read that the date manufactured can dictate the oc'ing ability of the chip. I also heard that the retail version oc's better than oem version. If this is true will mine be sufficient?
It states cbbid 0451apaw.
Hey Guys,
I received my 3500 retail winnie proc today but the item i ordered doesn't match the serial on the chip.
Mine was the ADA3500BIBOX but the chip has ADA3500DIK4BI. Is this correct or are they trying to pull a fast one on me by shipping me the oem with a retail hsf?
Thanks...
Mostly family stuff with occasional movie encoding. I went with AMD because I like the 64 bit arch and the price is much better than intel in terms of price vs performance.
Mostly using Adobe Premiere Pro and pinnacle studio for movies. TPMG for movie encoding.
I'm currently putting together the pieces for my machine, thus far I have,
3500 winnie retail
lian li 1000
pc&c 510 sli
I'd like to get one of the DFI or MSI sli boards when the hype settles a bit and some evga 6800 ultra or gts.
My questions is with memory, I am building this machine...
