Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
Looks like it works with a different power cable. On a sata power cable with multiple connectors. Do you have to use the tail end of it or can you use any? Stupid question but I opted for that with the new cable.
So I was building another PC the other night and decided to boot it up today and install windows with an usb stick.
Everything was fine until I got to the windows install part. I couldn't find my drive. Then I realized I forgot to plug in the power to the SSD.
I opened up the case, plugged in...
Will do... can also add that the error code on the mobo "digital clock" is 00 (which has nothing specified in the error code list). It's not d0 or 0d but 00.
So I put together a PC with a friend for him last weekend and it has been rocking solidly so far (dual 980ti, 6700k, msi m7 mobo) until now.
Today at one time while he was using it just shut down and wouldn't boot again.
I have only had 40 minutes of time with it personally today so we're...
Now that I think about it, the upcomming 980 Ti Lightning seems kinda appealing to me. I'm looking into a building a second computer it might be an option to bring my GTX 980 Strix over to the 2nd computer and grab the Lightning if it delivers and just stay with a more appealing single-card...
Yeah, that's what I'm thinking. If I would play something like GTA I would for sure need another 980 but if I'm playing a semi-demanding MMO it's arguable because of optimization and what not. There are a few games that put me at around the 70-90fps range which is obviously playable but I bet...
Am I the only person who do not understand if they Pro versions are truly affected or not? and if there was ever anything to worry about if they continue to perform fine? My 840 Pro is like 2 years old and it's still running at 500mb/s just fine.
Well, of course it doesn't matter THAT much. it's just hard to justify that expensive hard drive to make your computer slower in certain areas and that is why I said normal SSD boot times and not hoping for better.
What's with the slow boot time on these drives? I guess it's lack of the support for the chipset but will you get normal SSD boot times at least with X99?
What is the difference between the PCI-E version and the 2'5" M.2 version except location inside your case?
I noticed P3500 offers better...
A while back my good 'ol graphics card died on me and I ended up grabbing a 980 Strix.
I currently run my system with an Asus Swift monitor since it's launch.
So I was wondering what kind of GPU setup you guys run with this monitor?
I prefer to run the monitor at 120Hz with ULMB and I guess...
