Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
So I ordered a new Sapphire HD 5770 GPU with my new PC. I'm running Windows 7 x64 and I've got everything built but still haven't installed the card yet. It seems that almost every user (as far as I can tell) that runs 64 bit has had major problems with this card from there being no signal...
Thank you so much! I've got the card out and the onboard graphics working again with HDMI after following your steps! I'll wait a bit before installing the 5770 to make sure everything's perfect :)
Ok so I've pulled the video card out of my case completely and tried to reset my MB to default settings in the hopes of getting my monitor working like it was before I messed with the new GPU.
I moved the pins on the CMOS when the power was off and unplugged from the PSU. I left it in slot 2 +...
Let's see here. It seems I put my GPU in the PCIE Slot on my MB but it seems there are actual PCI slots as well. Should I switch my video card to the standard slot and see what happens? The only reason I used the PCIE slot was because it fit perfectly.
Ok so I just built my new computer yesterday and had it up and working with no problem. I have a 23.6' LCD monitor and was using HDMI from my motherboard (MSI 880GM-E43 AM3 AMD 880G HDMI Micro ATX AMD Motherboard) for the display with no real problems.
So after I got some stuff installed on...
Ok so I am in the middle of building a new desktop and have a Antec Neo ECO PSU. I am trying to connect my HDD but am not sure which SATA cable I should use. The PSU said to use one for 400W/450W only and the other one was for 520W/620W only. I'm not sure which to use because they both fit and...
Sorry, I'll just post them directly from my Newegg shopping cart.

Ok here we go. V3 and hopefully the final. I'm going to be ordering the parts tomorrow but wanted to let you guys have one final check to ensure everything still looks good.
@Danny Bui I took your advice with the case + psu and the video card, thanks for the info because these look much...
So are you saying I should upgrade my case and PSU because they wouldn't be the best for my current specs or because there will be no space left if I want to upgrade something in the future.
Also with this hardware should I get a 32 or 64 bit version of Windows 7?
Ok so here's V2 of my build totaling a little over $750. Any last changes I should make before I pull the trigger? Also do I need any additional cooling equipment like extra heat syncs or fans?

Ah well I'm glad you told me because I was told to look only at 7200 rpm drives for my OS HD which is why I picked that one but this is a major problem. Is there anything you would suggest to substitute? It would be fine to lower the capacity because I have 3TB of storage on other drives.
Ok so I've been really researching the suggestions you guys (and a few friends) gave me and I've come up with a rough list of parts. This should be everything I need but I'm paranoid so I thought it would be wise to have folks more knowledgeable than I look over it to make sure that I'm not...
