Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
The first thing I noticed when I started playing the beta was how much I took for granted the Lord of Destruction resolution. This is zoomed right back in like D2 vanilla. Maybe it's supposed to increase tension, but I just found it frustrating after being spoiled with the wider view.
I don't understand why he took it this way. He could have taken that as an opportunity to explain exactly what's going on, that they have a secure platform and this political crap is the only way to pressure RIM into letting the government legally monitor their network. This instead makes him...
I've been trying to figure this out for the longest time with this utility (CF'd 4890's and a GTS 250), and just have the 4890's going right now. Can't wait to get home and get all three going :D
It's a different kind of warfare, where a pilot can kill from 9-5 then be back home to have dinner with the family. They fight with setups that could be mistaken for a flight-sim enthusiast's. I think the question they're asking is how aware the pilot is of the damage he or she is actually doing...
Works like a charm on Windows 7 Pro x64. I have a GTS 250 dedicated to Physx and I'm rendering with two 4890s. Batman was fun without the GTS, but with Physx? Damn :D
Ahh, that's a legit observation, so yeah, I'll pass on that one. I'm not really looking for a NAS though, that's why none of these units has an ethernet port. I'm pretty much looking for something that's plug-and-play via eSATA, firewire, or USB 2.0, has on-board RAID 1, and is hot-swappable so...
My old external HDD is finally full, and I've decided to get something that is still plug and play, but more secure. I decided a two bay enclosure with on-board RAID 1 was the way to go.
After a couple of days spending an hour here or there researching, I've come across these three...
if you decide to get a fan holder, keep in mind that you can't use 38mm fans. granted, the majority of the ones you're going to be looking at will be 25mm, but just something to keep in mind :D
Reseat the cable from the card to the monitor at both ends. If that doesn't work, after a cold (literally I guess) boot, open up NVIDIA System Tools and try manually setting the GPU fan speed to say...40%, and see if that helps any.
EDIT:
When's the last time you dusted it out?
By no means am I an expert on this, but I would expect a material like this to have a very high specific heat capacity, but very very (very) low thermal conductivity. This would allow it to absorb a tremendous amount of heat, but would also make it extremely resistant to absorbing heat in the...
So if I understand you correctly, a hypothetical 40nm refresh of current 55nm cards with this faulty process would be cheaper and smaller, but retain the same power and cooling requirements?
Alright cool, thanks Jon. Even this slightly bad news is better than wondering if some Somalian pirate's juggling what would've been my sleek n' sexy new EX-1200. :D
Is there some way to backorder this PSU so I'm not checking Newegg every 10 minutes? :p
I signed up for Newegg to auto-notify but I heard that they're usually a little late sending out those emails, and I wouldn't be surprised if it sold out damn quick after it came back in stock.
