I did the same with one of my desktops (running wire under the space between the cards/mobo). Getting rid of the ATA cable will help a lot. Also, zip ties are your friend :D Just don't go overboard with them.

Interesting... I've wondered myself if there was a better cooling solution for it, kind of hard to do anything besides factory inside a laptop :rolleyes:

So my laptop is starting to feel the sting of the newer games, I really noticed it playing the BFBC2 beta the past couple days. Is it possible to swap in one of the newer cards in place of the 9800M GTS I currently have? I'd probably upgrade to a 260 or 280 if I actually go through with this.

I have a P-7811FX and have seen the same things you have. I've had the computer for nearly a year & a half now, but I've been lucky to not have a single hardware or mechanical issue... though most of the time it sits stationary with some sort of airflow across it. I've seen the same...

I can now, I think I'm getting the hang of Comodo a little bit. I've gotten to where I can at least play CSS, played it for quite a while tonight without issue. I'm still getting the TCP/UDP port scans, SYN floods, and LAN-side UDP floods though. Hasn't really seemed to affect my connection...

TTT I think I've weaseled my way into at least being able to play stuff online, but it still isn't up to snuff. Should also add I was at a friend's house playing online the other night, so I don't understand how it could be directly related to my IP address on my network at home...:mad:

Then you must not read the fine print. I know, but once you read more you see that it's actually about GS. I live on the other side of Flint, 'bout 10 minutes west of Flint Twp.

That's nice that you get it, but Flint isn't the main focus of this thread.
