Has anyone else with this monitor had this issue? It just started last night. It's typically fine for about 5 minutes, then it goes blank for a couple seconds like it's switching inputs (power stays on), then occasionally it will go blank 2 or 3 times over the course of a couple minutes. I'm...
I'm in somewhat of a temporary living situation right now so I can't have everything setup the way I'd like to - mainly because of space limitations but also because most of my stuff is still in Michigan (home theater setup, bigger desk, etc.). Finally did some cleaning/rearranging tonight and...
I remember finding this years ago and thinking "hey, I could do that with mine" I was a little confused that you posted the pictures again until I went back & looked at the original post. I still think it looks great :D
I did the same with one of my desktops (running wire under the space between the cards/mobo). Getting rid of the ATA cable will help a lot. Also, zip ties are your friend :D Just don't go overboard with them.
Interesting... I've wondered myself if there was a better cooling solution for it, kind of hard to do anything besides factory inside a laptop
So my laptop is starting to feel the sting of the newer games, I really noticed it playing the BFBC2 beta the past couple days. Is it possible to swap in one of the newer cards in place of the 9800M GTS I currently have? I'd probably upgrade to a 260 or 280 if I actually go through with this.
I have a P-7811FX and have seen the same things you have. I've had the computer for nearly a year & a half now, but I've been lucky to not have a single hardware or mechanical issue... though most of the time it sits stationary with some sort of airflow across it. I've seen the same...
I can now, I think I'm getting the hang of Comodo a little bit. I've gotten to where I can at least play CSS, played it for quite a while tonight without issue. I'm still getting the TCP/UDP port scans, SYN floods, and LAN-side UDP floods though. Hasn't really seemed to affect my connection...
TTT
I think I've weaseled my way into at least being able to play stuff online, but it still isn't up to snuff.
Should also add I was at a friend's house playing online the other night, so I don't understand how it could be directly related to my IP address on my network at home...
Looking for help here from anyone that can give it to me. Surfing the web hasn't seemed to be affected at all, that's why I think it's related to Steam...
I've already gone through a reinstall of the OS (Vista Ult. 64) and Steam, and I'm still having issues, not sure what it's related to.
I...
Then you must not read the fine print.
I know, but once you read more you see that it's actually about GS.
I live on the other side of Flint, 'bout 10 minutes west of Flint Twp.
You sound like you know this from experience ;)
Unemployment? 9.3%... about 19,000 people... #3 in the nation.

So we have:
a)some of the worst roads
b)one of the best overall driving records (how in the world that is i have no clue)...
... and apparently they're a couple of the best web security guys in all of GS :P At our morning meeting they had a couple guys come up to the front to talk about a national website security competition they were in, apparently they went up against the likes of Texas A&M, etc. and took first...
This is sorta weird, I'm slightly worried the card itself has an issue. I've noticed lately when I have the card set to 5.1 and the volume is turned all the way down, I can still hear the sub (no issues on headphones that I've noticed). So I started going back through the settings to see if I...
I've done quite a bit of looking, and I think the only way to update my firmware (2.0.3.5.10-0425) is through my ISP (Charter). I haven't had any reset issues outside Steam, which only resets when it gets to 4,xxx servers or so, so it's not a major thing, just something I'm trying to sort out...
Well, I did a little more looking on Steam, and found there was a posting on routers restarting while refreshing servers here, and to add a registry key to cut down on the rate that Steam uses when updating servers (I'm assuming). I've tried this, but it still hasn't worked  I guess I...
I tried resetting the router, but to no avail. I also tried entering 'steam.exe' in the Applications & Gaming tab and set the port range from 27000 to 27050 including both udp and tcp. Still the same thing, if it refreshes for more than 15 seconds or so, it resets itself. I have a strong...
So we (finally) got cable a week or so ago, and everything's going pretty good for the most part. Only time I'm having issues is with Steam. I'm starting in basic classes for Network Admin., but I don't any troubleshooting experience as of yet...
Long story short, we got a Linksys WCG200...
I'm not at home, so I haven't had a chance to look, but the thought came into my head just earlier. Is there anything to start a dedicated server without actually starting the game? I'm asking because I want to connect to the server remotely to start it, and every time I tried starting COD2 to...
Ockie doesn't use money. He just tells them what he wants and they send it to him ;)
Speaking of Ockie and LAGS, one of the guys I work with has a connection (via 3 people or so) to nVidia, and is running a pair of nV 8900s... that's about all I know though. I should ask him for pics :D
Yeah, but the thing is it's out of the price range I'm looking at. If I were looking at a better card I'd start looking at the 7900GS (which I haven't).
It's for my dad's Socket A system, trying to hold him over until there's money to build a better system. He has a 6600GT right now, and plans to stay nVidia. I was doin' some lookin', and the closest 2 cards in my price range were the 6800XT and the 7600GT. Which would be better between the...
I Googled these two trojans, but didn't find much info on either:
BackDoor.Generic9.CUT
Downloader.Delf.AFW
The first one was in my Local Settings\Temp folder, so I deleted that one without hesitation (had about 11gb of other crap in that folder too :P). The other one is in my system32...
The window's lookin' good :) I'll have to take a gander at it in a couple weeks :D There was so much going on at the last LAN I couldn't hear it to start with
If it were me, I would first off, probably use a smaller drive that was inexpensive, and use it for data I had backed up, like music and pictures an such. For the enivronment, I would make sure the area was completely clean and wiped down, making sure to not have any air movement around it...
lol  The reason I was asking is there's a 300 person LAN coming up in the middle of November, and I was hoping the extra storage space would be available ;)
