    help w/ 3dmark cpu test

I am getting what look like artifacts in the CPU tests in 3dmark06. The fort (or whatever it is) has streamers that look like sparks flying off of it, and the colors of the streamers are bright/solid (ie red, blue, yellow). Is this supposed to look like this? I can't imagine that the graphics...

    7900gt superclock 3dmark artifacts

So i have a pair of these 7900gt superclocks, and i'm trying to test the hell out of them to make sure they don't have any problems. I've been testing them separately (as single cards), and both of them show artifacts (huge black flashing polygons) in the last graphics test in 3dmark (the one...

    atitool artifact test

hey guys, i have two of the now infamous evga 7900gt superclocks in SLI. Now i'm trying to figure out if i have any of the "bad batch" of cards using the artifact tester in atitool. So far, at stock (superclock) speeds, every once in a while atitool finds "2 bad pixels". This is in SLI...

SATA and RAID 0 problems installing XP

Right at the beginning of the XP install (where there's a blue screen, and a whole bunch of device files are loaded) there's a message at the bottom of the screen along the lines of "If there are any third party RAID drivers you would like to install, hit "some key". I can't remember exactly...

    x40

my cousin just got the 1.2Ghz x40, and it's awesome, if you want ultraportable. Plenty fast, and yes, i'm sure it'll play the movies fine. It plays Quake 3 rather well, although these days anything plays that game well. The 1.3Ghz is available now just so you know...and i would recommend the...

    IBM x40 w/ Dothan core?

Does anyone have any idea when the new ULV and LV pentium m procs based on the dothan core are going to be available? When will IBM use these in their x40 equivalent? If anyone knows or has heard something, any info would be great. Thanks

    pentium m-full speed?

we tried that tool, and it wasn't able to read the current speed of the proc. It was able to detect the max speed though. The system icon still reported it as 598, even witht he power profile set to Home/Office. Any other suggestions?

    pentium m-full speed?

thanks for the reply. Will that speedswitch report the correct speed? What's the best way to see the correct speed?

    pentium m-full speed?

My cousin just got an x40 with the 1.2ghz pentium m chip. For some reason, the speed reported in "System" in the control panel never shows 1200mhz. It sometimes shows 298, sometimes 598, but never 1200. We've tried plugging it in, and it just sits at 598. It is recognized as a 1200mhz part by...
