Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
I'm not sure how to know, just plug it in and see what happens. Some boards can read the drive and only show what your bios is capable of reading, like 2TB or so. My board just plain doesn't want to read it. It showed up in bios once, but only once. Just know that no UEFI bios = no dice.
Yeah, I just use the array to record fraps videos to and store music and movies. I'll give it a go tonight or tomorrow and report back what happens. Unfortunately I don't have the funds to purchase another external to back up my files so I'll just keep my fingers crossed. Shouldn't be an...
I have 2 1tb drives in RAID0 made in windows (not in bios) and I recently bought a 4TB drive for more storage. Due to limitations in my motherboard, I was forced to purchase a new mainboard with UEFI bios because my previous board won't even recognize it.
My problem is I don't have a way...
Asus Crosshair IV Formula
Bios options only allow me to either use 1-4 as raid and 5-6 as ide or 1-6 as raid.
No options for AHCI/RAID combo.
The SSD (Vertex 2) is set up as Raid on sata port 1. It is my understanding that trim and all the fancy SSD stuff is implemented through windows...
Set up a raid 0 with 2 spinpoint f3s on my crosshair iv, along with my single Vertex 2 as the OS drive.
I had to set all sata ports to RAID, otherwise only ports 5-6 can be set to IDE with 1-4 set in RAID.
So my question is, why are all my single drives showing up as SCSI drives in device...
Just downloaded Active SMART and it's saying "ActiveSMART could not detect any hard drive with S.M.A.R.T. support...." how is that possible? And what implications can this cause?
Everything is stock. I know it's limited, that's all I can work with myself. The setup runs pretty fast, but it hangs up sometimes for unknown reasons to me.
Hey everyone,
Just installed a new raid 0 setup on my asus crosshair formula iv paired up with
2x spinpoint f3 HD103SJ 1tb
128k block stripe size
amd 1090t
4gb adata 2000mhz
2gb 6950
corsair hx850 PSU
Install went somewhat smoothly, kept getting "unsigned driver" message...
So I just bought a vertex 2 120gb for my m11x, without even thinking about the new c400. I know these are backwards compatible with sata II boards. So would the c400 be a better performer in sata 2 than a vertex 2?
