Sounds like either would work. I don't have any reason to go in when she's not there. If anything, she would want to watch what I'm doing to learn for next time.
Thanks for the suggestions!
My mom has a Mac and sometimes has things she needs help with. It's tough for me to help her since I don't remember exactly what things are called or where they're located (Windows user).
I'd like to get some sort of a screen share or remote help app installed on her Mac that I could use to...
Agreed. I love higher resolution because I don't really need AA at that point. At 1440p, AA is almost indistinguishable unless you have it cranked to some crazy level.
Full disclosure: I've always thought AA was hardly noticeable, and now my bias grows since I try to do everything at 1440p. :D
That sounds plausible, but it's silly because those Nvidia-branded cards are likely made by one of the big vendors anyway.
I wonder if they're engineering samples or something that was never intended to be sold?
Yeah, that's what I noticed. They're having a hard time keeping those in stock, so there's probably no reason to lower prices. Cheapest I see the G1 for is $369, and the FTW for $379.
They have the free Ubisoft game promo going right now, that's all.
I feel like the GTX 970s (the factory overclock ones, full-size) are hovering around $369 and have been for a while. Specifically, the Gigabyte G1 and eVGA ACX FTW.
Is a price break on the horizon sometime later this month, or will there be one sometime next year? I have been eyeing the 970 for...
My Netgear WNDR4000 might be dying a slow death. In the past month, it needs to be rebooted every few days or else you just can't get out to the Internet.
The router itself still has an IP address from the cable modem and shows activity, and the status page still reports that it has a valid...
Less than a month ago I bought an ASUS Z87-A, Core i7 4770, and 2x4GB sticks of Corsair Dominator Platinum 2133 RAM. This exact RAM is listed in the ASUS compatibility guide as being 2133-compatible, for what it's worth.
About 1 in 10 times I power the machine on, the fans will spin up and...
Reinstalled Windows and the problem returns. There is definitely something about this wireless adapter and the motherboard (or maybe the Z87 chipset). Netgear of course told me to pound sand since I'm out of warranty.
If I do replace it, I need to ensure I don't get one that has the same...
I bought an Asus Z87-A today and decided to re-use my Netgear WNDA4100 USB adapter.
Through process of elimination, I have deduced that anytime this wireless adapter plugged into any front or rear USB port, there is a strange delay at the Windows login screen where the keyboard and mouse do not...
This fucking problem still exists on 331.65 (and Chrome 30.0.xxxx). Unbelievable. I used to be a pretty die-hard NVIDIA fan but this is just ridiculous. And yes, I have the value of 8 in the registry for TdrDelay, the built-in Flash, and no GeForce experience or 3D crap installed. I'm *this...
