    Email Change denied!

I need to change my email but the board has gmail, and others banned. I'm currently using a gmail account, but I went to mail.com. Seems it has been banned also. So, although I've been a member for 8.2 years, I can't use my new email?

    Win 8 Restore Question

Hey guys and gals, I'm wondering if I need a "recovery" disk to reload Win8 backup images or if my Win8 ISO on a bootable USB can work to do the same thing? No need to replicate if not necessary. TIA.

    7950 with 3 monitors--not Eyefinity!

Ok great and thank you sir. Guess I need an active port converter.

    7950 with 3 monitors--not Eyefinity!

I just want to run 3 monitors, each with it's own screen, which would be extended. I don't want to use Eyefinity, as this is not a gaming task. I need three monitors for work. I know you need an active port for Eyefinity, but Eyefinity isn't an "extended" desktop. From my understanding...

    AMD 7950 Interesting HDMI problem

HAHAHAHA, no. I did not. What's it to you.? Just after I bumped this I had an epiphany to see if my OSD had an option for HDMI, and it did. So yeah, that was the problem, and I'm an idiot.

    Anyone have any idea?

    AMD 7950 Interesting HDMI problem

AMD 7950 This card has one DVI port, One HDMI and two mini display ports. If I don't have anything plugged into the DVI port on the back of the card, no video from anything plugged into the card. As long as there is one monitor plugged into the DVI port from a DVI port (even if the cable is...

Where is the review? I clicked on all the links and nothing. Oh I get it, it's not even a HOCP review. I see.

    Gigabyte X58 UD5 v.2 sysfan2 PWM stopped working

The SYS2 fan riser IS a 4 pin PWM thermal controller, just like the CPU riser. I've used it now for two years without a problem. it can be adjusted using Speed Fan. I just wise gigabyte had used another 4-pin PWM riser on that board. the thing is expensive enough. They should have.

    Gigabyte X58 UD5 v.2 sysfan2 PWM stopped working

Gigabyte X58 UD5 v.2 sysfan2 PWM stopped working: Has anyone seen this happen on this or other MBs? I use Speedfan to control my fans, including the CPU fan, and today, I could not control the sys2 fan. I tried using the BIOS option and speedfan. Nothing has changed in my system. it jsut...

    Upgrading to save Energy

Oh that's another thing. I wanted a modular design, and like I said, I wanted it to be fanless.

    Upgrading to save Energy

True that. Use a power strip and actually shut the power switch off instead of just turning the unit off. Usually you can double power savings. Some power strips use 1-6 watts when plugged in also. Some actually cut the power absolutely. If you ahve a UPS take teh reading with it plugged in...

    Upgrading to save Energy

And you also know it isn't that easy. Did you read the efficiency numbers on all of those models? I also wanted a "fanless" model, which I don't think those models are. And, I wanted the BEST efficiency I could get, within reason. Typically higher wattage units are less efficient at lower...

    Upgrading to save Energy

It gets even better if the PSU and card can actually keep me out of the tier 2 level. Then it's even more economical. Even though, if I'm in the teir 2 or even 3, I'm using less power like you state. My main plan is to try and stay out the upper tiers altogether for a .38 cents less bill per...

    Upgrading to save Energy

One reason is because where I live, we get a total of 12Kwh per day, and then we go to a higher level. My power starts at .12 and after 24Kwh it goes to .50 a Kwh!!! I saved 1Kwh a day simply by taking a Kill O Watt Meter to all of my devices and adding up what it was, then making sure I shut...
