Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
Thanks for all the good advice, guys! I will call Newegg tomorrow and RMA it. I'll also look into the possible built-in video card overclock in my MSI board, but I didnt see anything about it in the bios...
I dont think its overheating, I never see it get past 68 degrees celsius, and graphics problems start happening around 60 degrees. Should I send it back?
Also, any idea what's causing the bootup issue?
I just built my new system with a factory-overclocked XFX GeForce 7800GTX. However, in game graphics look extremely good for a while, but then after a little bit of play-time, they become glitchy. Not sure how to describe it, the textures jump around. I can still play fine with this issue, its...
Well I can go up and spend $130 on the PSU, but I would really like to get a cheaper one than the seasonic if possible. I also noticed that this Antec one is on sale at newegg today:

How can I tell if its ATX12v1.3 or ATX12v2.0?
Do you guys think this power supply will be sufficient to power this rig?

I think I'm going to go with either this one:

or this one:

Both are 250GB with 16MB cache. From what I've read in the hard drive forum, the 16MB buffer should...
Do you think the 10000 RPM WD Raptor is worth it? 70GB for now is enough for me, I was mostly interested in the hard drive's speed. But will it be excessively noisy? I've heard it will probably be the loudest element of my system.
Cool so I'll buy a couple of those 184 pin 1GB ones.

There's a sale going on the PC case today, so I'll buy that. Any comments on it before I make the purchase?

Ok so what's the difference between this one: (184 pin)
http://www.newegg.com/product/product.asp?item=N82E16820145505
and this one (that you suggested): (240 pin)

How will the number of pins affect performance? Or is it...
Well from what I've read overclocking your system by 300 or 400 MHz isnt going to significantly improve performance. The burden of the gaming performance should come from the video card, right?
Thank you for the good link for the video card, is the 7800 really that much better, though...
Cool, thanks! My main concern is with the RAM and with the case, I want to make sure I'm getting a decent enough case, and by decent I mean quiet and reasonably cool (I'm not gonna overclock). The RAM, there's so many different configurations for it and I dont really care all that much, so I'm...
