The price match thing would be nice if not for this quote from their price-matching policy: "The item must be in stock at the other authorized dealer." If it was in stock at the other authorized dealer (B&H) I wouldn't need the price match. Thanks for the info though. Might come in handy later on.

At Newegg it's almost $36 more than the B&H price. Maybe not a huge amount, but $36 is $36.

    Buydig.com

Not sure if this is the right place to post this, but it's the closest place I can find :) Does anyone here have experience buying software from Buydig.com? I need to buy a retail copy of Windows 7 Professional (Full install, NOT the upgrade version) for my new build and my preferred vendor...

    Video Editing Build

Ah, stupid me, I was looking at the P6T SE, not the regular, non-deluxe P6T, which most certainly does have a floppy connector. So here's what the build is looking like now: CPU: Intel Core i7 920 2.66 GHz Motherboard: Asus P6T Graphics Card: XFX GeForce GTS250 1 GB RAM: G.Skill...

    Video Editing Build

Thanks for the suggestions. I am going to go for the standard P6T instead of the deluxe, and will most likely get the PSU recommended by shiro. The only thing I'm not totally sure about is the video card. I want to be sure to get one that will work well with Adobe CS4 software, especially After...

Already have, actually. I'll probably get rid of the drive when it eventually stops working :)

    Video Editing Build

Hey all, Getting ready to purchase parts for a new build and thought I would run it by the more knowledgeable folks here first. My current machine was built in 2007, and I bought it thinking it would only be used for SD video editing, since I did not have the means to shoot HD at the time. Not...

    Power Supply Enough?

Hey all, I just built a new system last year with a 450W power supply (came with the case). Since I built the system I've had to add an additional hard drive and now I'm slightly worried that the PSU I have may not be enough. I haven't had any particular reason to suspect this, I just worry...

    SATA boot issues....again

That did it! Reversing the order in the "Hard Disk Boot Priority" menu did the trick. It's still very odd that it worked fine for 2 months the other way around and all of a sudden stopped, but it's working right now at least. Big time thanks for that idea. I never would've thought of doing...

    SATA boot issues....again

The SATA drive is definitely set as the first drive in the "Hard Disk Boot Priority" menu. The IDE drive is second. And if I ignore the prompt to boot from CD with the Windows XP installation CD in the drive, it just boots from the CD anyway. So I guess this is just random craziness. I'm not...

    SATA boot issues....again

Just found out also that Windows will boot with JUST the DVD drives connected. Apparently, if the other hard drive and zip drive are connected the system tries to boot from them instead of the SATA drive for some weird reason. It's very odd since it was doing just fine yesterday.... I will try...

    SATA boot issues....again

Hola all, I posted on here a couple months ago regarding a problem getting Windows XP to install to a SATA hard drive. Well, I fixed that problem by disconnecting ALL IDE devices from the motherboard, leaving only the SATA drive connected. Seems that XP tried to install itself first to my...

    Troubles with XP Install

Okay, I managed to get XP to install to the SATA drive, finally. I had to disconnect the secondary PATA drive AND the internal PATA Zip Drive. Once this was done, XP copied files to the SATA drive, rebooted, and then completed install from the SATA drive. Once install was done, I hooked up the...

    Troubles with XP Install

The drive is SATA 2 and yep, the motherboard does support it. The motherboard also already has the latest BIOS. I'm not sure if the motherboard SATA drivers need to be installed, but I do know that the first two times I tried to install XP without installing the drivers manually, the same thing...

    Troubles with XP Install

*Sigh* I am beginning to think building my own system is more trouble than it's worth....but anyway... I cannot for the life of me get XP Pro to install on my new system with a Seagate 300GB SATA hard drive. The system boots from the XP CD, I hit F6 to load my motherboard's SATA drivers, and...
