Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.

Map loads fine; menus load fine; no lag at all; text looks fine.
Attached is a picture of what I'm seeing:
Everything moves fast, though, and I can play if I can pick up some of the people.
Anyone experience this?
Thank you for all the replies!
Well, after serious testing/driver cleaning/re-seating the cooler/re-applying thermal goo, I started getting artifacting when I loaded BF2.

Okay, I picked up a 500W Antec today at Fry's.
I installed it, and I'm still freezing.

I have a rather large thread in the Video Card forum, and I thought I'd try a different approach here.
Is there anyone who has a 9800 XT (not a 9800 pro OC'd) installed, and running BF2 successfully? I'd like to ask you about your ATI Control Panel settings, in-game graphic settings, et...

Ty.
Trading out the card is my very last option.
I agree with you that the issue is software/driver related.
However, the fact that the problem is happening throughout all my games would probably concentrate the issue on the driver. If there was some sort of evidence pointing to reformatting...
Okay, I've followed all the steps listed in the FAQ to uninstall my old drivers.
Instead of just "ATI" on the "Driver Cleaner", I selected all ATI-related options.
I did notice one thing, though - after completely uninstalling all ATI components, then using "Driver Cleaner" in Safe Mode...
