I want to mod a case around the game Left 4 Dead 2 but I've hunted all around the net for one of the basic, beige steel ATX cases with no luck. No one seems to carry them anymore. All the newer cases seem to have windows in the left side or vents that will interfere with my design plans. Does...
Ever since I put in my new hard drive and installed everything from scratch I've had a slight problem. Whenever I put in a cd that has an autorun file...it doesn't. It won't work on my RW CD Rom or my DVD player. Everything worked fine before so I'm assuming it must be a setting somewhere in...
I was just having some reboot problems and it turned out to be the power supply. Try plugging a multimeter into one of your 5volt plugs and watch it while you're playing any games and see if the voltage drops too low. Could also be the video card. That BFG card is overlocked out of the box. You...
I found a site that sells UV reactive heat shrink (didn't know they made the stuff.)

If you want the braided sleeving, I think Vantec makes some of the best.
I've already put in my original 300W ps and everything works fine so it's definetly the Antec. I even used a dedicated power plug for the video card. (nothing else plugged into that same line)
I'm having trouble with my Antec 430W True Power supply. Since I installed my 9800 Pro card, on boot up, the 5 volts is dropping as low as 3.9 volts and causing lockups. Will replacing the 5V regulator in the ps fix this problem?
Well, it's official. It's the Antec 430W True Power supply. When I put my meter in one of the power doogles(?) and boot up, the 5 volts is dropping down as low as 3.9 volts. Will replacing the 5 volt regulator fix this problem?
That's probably the problem. The old generic 350W PS I put in now is running fine. I'm almost done modding out another generic 350W PS that is going to be used to power all the fans and lights so when I put the Antec back in I'll make sure to give everything it's own power line.
I have an Antec 430W True Power. After I have had the computer on for a little while I can shut it down, come back latter and fire it up and it works fine. It's like the video card needs to be warmed up first.
I recently replaced my 9200SE video card with a 9800 Pro which works great except for one thing. I completely power down my computer each night. When I get up in the morning and turn the system on, it POSTS normal and I see my Asus motherboard logo screen. Then the monitor goes out and nothing...
