    the vid card will be put into a system thats Q6600 @ 3ghz with 4gig ram, 500g raptor hdd,on a 19in syncmaster...later on prob will upgrade to i7, but just started post-docing in harvard, neither time / money are too available:(

    Hi guys, i have a P4 2.4 gig dell dimension 4600....recently i upgraded the powersupply and ram to 1.5gig and 450W..... and brought a ATI 850xt.....when i run 3dmark 2005, i only get around 4300 , at 1024x768, with no AA and optimal filtering..... is it because i'm constrained by CPU ? Thx ...

    i have a ghetto old samsung syncmaster 152b LCD....max resolution is 1024x768... i'm getting this x850xt mentioned above for 250bucks after rebate...i guess at this resolution i should be ok and not CPU limited....... right ? Thx guys for all the info !
