Heh, I wish. Newegg is the first in-stock location I have seen since I started looking for one back around the first week in august.
Directron is taking preorders for an estimated 8/22 shipment for $359, newegg is gouging people for $699.
Everyone else seems to top out at 4600+ X2's, at...
Typical newegg price gouging.
No one else has them in stock, so they'll sell you one for twice what other sites are pre-ordering for.
I was gonna buy my entire new system from them, but this makes me really want to go somewhere else.
I dont believe they'll put DRM hardware in CPU's just yet, maybe eventually once they get their software algorithms better...
As far as DRM, Longhorn is going to be chock full of it, and it's already snuck into XP. Anyone else notice the 'protected media content' in WMP 10+?
So that will...
I took my SLK-800 to optical quality using micro finishing compounds (abrasive, not polishes!)
Took my load temps down 10C, don't know what they would be if I stopped at 600 grit, but probably not as good, since 600 grit still has visible scratch marks that could trap air.
Gentoo is great once you get it setup. The way I look at it, I learned enough during the install/setup to run the system with ease :D
Its a distribution that provides a lot of security, and the ease of keeping your software up to date is as simple as
# emerge --sync && emerge -uD world
:p
Correct me if I'm wrong, but that cpu runs at a 200mhz FSB (I think the 800mhz that newegg refers to is the HTT frequency)
You have DDR266 ram, that runs @ 133Mhz FSB. With that ram, you cant even run stock speeds (unless you plan on using mem divider, which you didnt mention)
Muskin is...
I was so close to buying a razor about a year ago. Then I realized that I couldn't stand twitch shooters anymore.
So here I sit with an MX510. Definitely not as cool looking as that plasma, but a whole bunch cheaper. Plus it suits my computing environment.
If I still played FPSes, I'd be...
heh, was about to point out the academic discount part of the online store, but I was beaten to it :D
Thats the only thing I know about, ofc I've only bought an iPod from them.
My roomate has the MX700 cordless, while I have a 510 corded mouse. I dont notice a difference in resolution with the mice.
I do however notice a lag when using his mouse, especially with the scroll wheel. The battery part doesnt seem to bother him, and I havent seen it run dead on him in...
I must admit, the rapid ramp up on OCAU is damn impressive. All those folders coming out of the woodwork, + Sceggs about to come back online...
I remain hopeful on getting to number one, but we'll need some serious firepower when that 200k per day starts rolling in if we want to stay on top.
