Windows will do the same thing where if it detects the boot partition already it'll just use that one. If you want each drive to have its own you'll have to only have 1 drive connected at a time.
As long as it's the same version of windows home/pro it should activate. Sometimes if you have a multi-version installation media it'll automatically pick the licensed version too.

Yeah it should be perfectly fine, newer blocks are better but it's not such a huge difference that it would be worthwhile imo unless you have it pegged 24/7 at 100%.
You may need to get a new CPU block if only because there's not a mounting kit available, you could fabricate your own depending on what platform though.
I'm sure they would be happy to know about your experiences then.
tft central also shows similar result, they also confirmed the panels are calibrated using 60Hz at the factory (well at least one factory)...
