I sometimes watch these videos from a gpu repair technician, he likes to complain about how the gpu waterblocks can kill gpus.
Due to the different the uneven pressure and stress that a gpu waterblock can transmit to a gpu pcb, flexing it and making the components pop.

Here's one of his latest videos on the subject.

So, what do you guys think?
I've never had a problem. With EK, Alphacool gpu waterblocks. Well, I don't have them a long time though

Nope, just something to get people to comment on the video to feed the algorithm. I've waterblocked maybe 20 graphics cards in the last 17 years? None went bad. Heck, I still have a GTX 1080 that I recently pulled, and it was used for over a decade. I still have some R9 290X's that still probably work, and even an older GTX 580 that's nearing 16 years.

Current graphics cards with waterblocks on them are a RTX 4080 Super, and a RTX 3070 Ti. I'll wager they'll be good a decade from now when T1000's are hunting us down.

Might just be me but my blocked cards sag less than the same card with the stock air cooler so it seems to be a better design to me.

My GTX 480 and 580 cards with blocks still worked fine when I had them 2 years ago, those were the oldest blocked cards I had though.

Never been an issue for me, either with full blocks or generic GPU core and VRM blocks. I've doing this since the original Koolance case was released. Just strikes me as fear mongering or simple outrage baiting to feed the Holy Algorithm.

I can see this as possible only due to increased user error opportunity. Tighten screws too much or not enough when some of the nerds using probably never used a screwdriver before. Lol
