It isnt the fan, it is whether you motherboard can be controlled, so any fan your little heart desires is good, still get a quiet one. Also, the fans hooked up to your power supply cannot be controlled by speedfan, only the ones hooked to your motherboard. Sounds like you need a fan controller...
agreed with axman, but buying ends, a crimper and a spool is what i would do, but my friend has a crimper so all i have to do is buy ends and cable and may not have to do that since he is talking of getting a box/spool of cat5e. But wait. And buy a linksys whatever you need.
au contrair, its the amps that matter and as long as you have the plugs (molex or pcie what ever your cards require) it should power it. And by the way could you post a link to the video card youre considering, xfx makes like 3 6800gt models. Only curious because a lot of xfx's have molex's on...

I'm hoping the all copper zalman flower looking ones are pretty quiet, i mean for the fact that newegg is shipping me one and some arctic silver....fingers crossed, it comes with a fan controller, so it should be ok. Mostly looking to drop temps as I'm at 60 Celsius right now, anyways, enough...
The post was a mite confusing so i must ask, have you tried plugging in the EZ- Plug? If not, why not try that. Otherwise i have had issues also with my usb drive being connected, and when i unplug it it boots fine. Therefore, im with mre on the whole usb deal.
