I may have spoken too soon about silence on the SF450... It has coil whine, which while not obnoxiously loud is audible - enhanced by being in a Fractal Node 202 stood vertical placing the psu right at the top of the case with open grills for the sound to come straight out. At first I thought...

That's only for the high end cards though? I'd assume something like a 1060 would still be comfortable for a 450W supply, whenever they're released.

One question before something happens that I will regret: I'm in the process of building an itx machine with the SF450 - is it me or are the 6+2 pcie and 8 pin cpu power cable slots on the psu interchangeable? The labelling on the psu brackets all three 8 pin outputs and doesn't specify which...

I've been eyeing up this case but I'm not confident in the airflow being ay good. Can you mount a fan on the front inside like the Q11?

My god, I haven't followed this at all - just popped in to see what all the fuss was about. This is incredible design with sensible placement of components, and I love the different install options without compromising by a larger unnecessary volume. Good luck with this.

Or what about a SG05/SG08 hybrid - in other words a case with the dimensions of the SG05 (maybe a little shorter and flatter?) and stick this SFX power supply at the front. I dunno, call it the SG10! ;D

Are we going to see an SG05 update or something, including this power supply?

@Tony That's understandable, I'm sure the sg09 although not as clean as sg08 or tj08e, will still look good enough in person. Hopefully if the case sells well maybe we might see an updated version in the future with cleaner aesthetics.

FINALLY - that layout. I agree the exterior looks a bit ugly, but finally a major company has decided to put the power supply in that position in a "normal" case (ie, not the FT03). Finally someone gets it. Looks like the perfect matx case for volume/performance.
