I've only tried up to CCC max 1050 core on stock voltage with my sapphire 7850. I'll try more later, but no need now as my q8300 is bottlenecking my performance.
After bf3 mutiplayer temps hover around 55 C and I never hear a peep out of the fans. Very happy with the performance...
Yes, my stock q8300 is bottlenecking my 7850. Too bad I can't my overclock my cpu because computer is a prebuilt.
I'll probably upgrade soon to a 3570k.
Still debating whether I should upgrade now or later. I'm gonna want a 3570k and 256gb ssd, probably gonna cost me around $600 for all my parts. I can only reuse my power supply and radeon 7850.
A stock q6600 will bottleneck a 7850, by how much I don't know though, will depend on the game too.
I just installed my sapphire 7850 and have a stock q8300 which is basically equivalent to a q6600. Played some witcher 2. Overclocking my gpu core from 860 to 1050 didn't change fps at all...
MSI 7850 power edition, no where in sight. Lame, would have bought at the right price.
No stock on their regular 7850 either at least at the places I shop at. Much easier to find an asus or sapphire.
Yeah if your fan is making noise, good chance it is faulty or about to go.
Dust and poorly applied thermal paste can cause high temps as well. I'm running evga precision software with a 9800gt and have it set to where it alarms when temps go over 85 C. It started going off so I decided to...
Have fun waiting. There is a right time for everybody. Prices will always go down eventually.
Playing bf3 with my 9800gt, I want my upgrade now. I could have gotten a 6950 for $200 about 7 months ago, waiting since then didn't benefit me much. But I really wanted to see performance benefit...
LOL, nvidia has nothing on the 7850. 660 not for another 6 months.
$200 would be great but not gonna happen though. I see 7870 seeing a price drop next. At $350 it is way overpriced.
If nvidia wants to go to price war against the 7850, they need price drops on 560 ti 448's and 570's.
I actually had ordered the evga 560 448 core for $191 after rebate at amazon. Cancelled it because wanted to wait and see what happens and wasn't sure if vram was enough. Maybe I should have went for that deal.
Yeah, my backordered sapphire 7850 is expected to come back in stock in a couple days. Pretty sure made right decision now after seeing this price.
Would have cancelled order if 670 was priced at $350. Oh well.
Buying a product with the intention of returning at a later date is shady and raises prices for everybody. Makes return policies more strict too. This kind of crap really grinds my gears.
