Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
Can anyone help me clear up this confusion?
On tiger direct they list two s754 CPUs... a OEM 3400+ and an OEM 3300+. The specs on both seem wrong to me. Shouldn't the 3400 have the 1600bus and not the 3300? Is this an input error or am I missing something?

Dude... some guys have posted links and referenced some very specific instructions on how to go about this whole thing. These links are also instructive and if you actually read through them and try to understand them you wont have to ask questions like the ones you are asking.
So start at...
Joined the Hord with my socket A ---added my laptop soon thereafter. Doing a CPU upgrade on the "A" caused unexpected MB failure. Replaced whole unit with new socket 754 and CPU -- then FIXED original socket A MB and finished new CPU install. Now have 3 sysems for a total of 4.5 Ghz of...
I mistakenly sent a WU anonymously --- was a new computer and I rushed through the config. I just figured it out (and corrected the error mid fold on the 2nd WU so I should be ok) but is there anyway to get credit for the WU I sent?
All sorted now. There was a short somewhere on the board. I manually shorted every single aspect of the board -- and also left it alone for two days. This all seemed to help fix it. Of course not before I bought a new MB and CPU.... so I have an extra computer for folding.
Big Ups to...
The new parts were just a CPU (duron 1.8) and thermaltake TR2 M1 Socket A fan....
Since posting, I am only trying the original CPU and hs/f to work...(eliminating the "new" variables) (see sig)
Brothers.... my socket A MB is going down..... hard. (my main folding rig too!) Send for help!

no... I'll go do that right now. I just swapped the CPU. (Duron 1.0 Morgan to Duron 1.8)... I'll be back.!
OK -- I'm back. nada. still the same result. Also tried different psu
OK
tried what you said
took out the board and laid it on small table
connected power to board with vid card, monitor, and single stick RAM installed
LED's on CPU fan flashed
no light on MB anymore
Repeated process with second RAM module.
sae result. CPU fan LED flash.... no light on...
Just got a new processor and fan and decided to swap out cases at the same time so I did a complete system breakdown and rebuild. Everything went smooth --plugged everything in and hit power. LEDs in my CPU fan blinked once, and this little light next to the power input on the board turned on...
I think that's what happened. Once I restarted the second time, things sorted themselves out -- it ran for a day and ended early either due to error, or the natural result of the experiment. My third WU is folding now. And I am listed as active.
