    Asterisk with PRI

Thanks XOR. I've been reading as much as I can about it, but it's been hard to get a overall view on the difficulty level of getting the PRI up and going. I've got a single port T1 card coming from digium next week. So we'll see how it goes. The only thing I plan on doing with the out...

    Cheap cable management

I'd never used this particular brand of cable managment before, but I wound up really likeing how it works. Here's some crappy pics I took with my Treo. We're still cleaning up the backside of the rack as you can tell from the stray cables, but I think the front is working out well.

    New to Endian,...couple questions...

DHCP pass-through should not work through the WAN port. Have you plugged a laptop or pc directly into the blue interface to see if it would lease an IP? I'm a big fan of Endian, before I started my current job I worked for a service company and we had started using it in several of the...

    New to Endian,...couple questions...

Have you configured your Blue interface from inside Endian using the configuration wizard? As for your second question: the current Endian build includes squid.

    AD Forest Design issues

Thanks for the input everyone. I'm glad someone brought up using a new site, because I completely got off on my forest vs. child domain tangent and somehow completely ignored it as an option. Yay for saving me from more work. Thanks again

    AD Forest Design issues

I have an Active Directory design quandary that I'd like some input on. I recently started working for a PC manufacturing company at one of their remote sites. The current AD topology is a single forest with a single root domain. We are hoping to resolve some political "sharing" issues...

Opening .rar files on a Mac

Most likely it will download in a .dmg file, which basically will mount itself as a virtual disc when you open it. Most Mac apps you just have to drag from the virtual disc to your Application folder and it's installed.

Wow, can't you just buy a simple USB print server any more?

Direct to IP printing is tons faster than share or Active Directory printing. The only reason we usually even put our network printers in Active Directory is to be able to view the info for them.

Has anyone here upgrade vanilla server to SBS?

I have a few times from 2000/2003 Standard Edition and not had problems other than one installation that had a very broken Exchange installation. Exchange was broken before I began the upgrade(I didn't find out until later that it hadn't worked in a few weeks, go figure). It became pretty much...
