Anyone have any experience using Asterisk with a PRI trunk? Thoughts, experiences, pitfalls?

Thoughts; Setup should be fairly painless, especially if you bought the pri card from digium. They have free installation support.

Maintenance should be fairly painless; Once one of these cards are working, they just keep working ( assuming you spent the cash to supply the entire system with nice, clean power ). You'll have more problems with the line from the telco than with the card, usually.

Dialplan fun; PRIs are fun because you control the data line to the telco. You may or may not be able to do things like fudge the callerid and the like. Contrary to what some may be thinking, this has business benefits.

Thanks XOR. I've been reading as much as I can about it, but it's been hard to get a overall view on the difficulty level of getting the PRI up and going.

I've got a single port T1 card coming from digium next week. So we'll see how it goes.

The only thing I plan on doing with the out going caller ID is having all calls give the main number as the caller ID.
