Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
I am basicly upgrading my computer to get better FPS in css. I currently get 100+ fps at all times except when their are 5+ people in my screen. Then it drops to 60-70.
My current system is a x2 4200 slightly overclocked. A 6800 ultra AGP, 2 gigs of ram.
I have a p5b motherboard that...
Phosphor cannot have dead pixels. They can have burn, or screwed up phosphor. Thats it. It could have a spot burn, but I VERY rarely see that in crt monitors... especially not the fw900. Im willing to bet that this dead pixel you see is something else.
And yes this should be possible. If it is vga you can get a simple converter plug, 3 dollars or so to do a reasonable job of this. If its rgb rgbhv or rgbh-v then this can still be done but you mught be making a custom cable to turn it into vga.
If you dont want to make a cable you can get...
Is it 5 seperate bnc cables consisting of R-G-B-H-V(5 cables) or is it RGB(3 cables) or is it R-G-B-HV(4 cables)
OR is it RGB in the form of a vga cable? Need to know that before it can be specifically answered.
If you dont mind the humongous size check craigslist or ebay for a crt projector. I just got a Marquee 8500 for 500 dollars and it will without a doubt destroy the living sh1t out of any lcd/dlp projector for less than 8 grand (and many that cost more than that). They last longer too (10000...
Only do this if you are suffering from an overbright screen that CANNOT get acceptable black levels by adjusting the brightness. If yours doesnt do that, dont do the fix. This is insanely easy to do... also if you cant find the right resistors just use two or three in a series to get close.
I find it laughable when I see an idiot spending 500 dollars on a LCD monitor at frys when I know I could go on criagslist and get a used 21 trinitron crt that would blow it away for 60$.
Just goes to show you that people will go for "stylish and modern" over sheer performance.
