It's not online, but a good reference book with a lot of pictures is Maximum PC's Building A Dream PC. I used it when I built my first system and had no problems that it and this forum couldn't answer.
Why is it $100? I bought an Athena 500w for the computer in my sig for $45 and mine runs great, ten times better than the generic 450w my case came with.
