I did the same thing last year, sold my Z5500 on eBay. I also owned the Z2300 and sold just the two satellite speakers for basically what I paid for the whole system years ago, kept the sub and control pod. Ended up buying a new receiver and speakers separately. I waited for deals and ended up...
I recently upgraded my home theater system to the one in my signature from the Z5500 and opted for 5.1 instead of 7.1 so I used the 2 spare Onkyo's with my Z2300. They do sound better so I decided keep them hooked up. Crazy thing is I was able to sell my Z5500 and the 2 Z2300 satellites to cover...
I agree with Dantrax. I've had the Z5500 for 4 or 5 years. Got them from ZZF deal when they were $130. Difference is that I was using the Z5500 as my living room home theater. Recently, I tested replacing the satellites w/the Onkyo SKS-HT540. They sounded so much better w/those that I ended...
Currently on my Win7 system, I have an Audigy 2 Value (w/Daniel_K's driver), Logitech Z2300 speakers, and Shure SRH440 headphones (w/SRH840 earpads). I'm just looking for some recommendations and have a couple questions. My main usage is music, some movies, no gaming.
1) Would I benefit...
On my 2nd Gen iPt, I notice volume is quite a bit louder through headphones and the built-in speaker. Turning it up all the way is unbearable now but wasn't before. As for speed and performance, I do not notice that it's any snappier but everything seems to be working smoothly for me.
FYI for those that have installed or thinking about installing OSX...
Besides swapping out the wifi card and the internal mic, everything seems to be working on it now, including the speakers & headphone jack (requires you to switch the settings between them) and touchpad scrolling works as...
Do you want something to carry your camera gear too? I know you said you prefer messenger type vs. backpack but I currently use this Kata Sensitivity V for my notebook and camera gear. It says up to a 12" notebook but the two 14" I used to own (Latitude D620 & Vostro 1400) fit snugly and I...
I just bought my wife the Inspiron 13 for $500 after tax. Here's the specs I got for her:
Core Duo T4200 2.0Ghz
160GB HD
1GB RAM
DVDRW
Webcam/Mic
6-cell battery
Dell 1395
I already put 3GB RAM in it and swapped for an Intel wifi card. Like I said, it's for the wifey but my...
I ordered this for less than $6 shipped for my NC10. It should be here in the next few days. I plan on using my regular laptop bag/backpack but my NC10 will always be in this sleeve. I'll probably use the sleeve just to bring my NC10 around as well, when I don't need stuff from my bag. The...
Congratulations Jodiuh! Looks just like mine. :) You planning to run OSX on it? I have mine dual-boot w/XP & OSX. I have to say, I don't use my D620 much anymore since I got my NC10. It definitely does boot up fast and does everything I need it to. I have Office 2007 installed in XP &...
I did read somewhere that the two finger scroll fix for the NC10 but I haven't tried it. I wanted to wait until more people confirm it before I try it myself. I'm not too concerned that it doesn't have the scroll though because even in XP, I use the page up/page down more than scrolling.
I definitely agree! Especially with OSX, there's not scroll on the trackpad so the dedicated page up/page down buttons are very useful. I'm pretty impressed how this Atom processor performs. I typically have 5-7 tabs open, IM programs, Outlook and sometimes even stream NBA League Pass this...
I sold a first gen Macbook about a month ago for $650. Specs:
1.86Ghz Core Duo
2GB RAM
Superdrive (I replaced the Combo drive myself)
80GB HD
Personally, I didn't think it was worth $650 and would have taken $550 but the person didn't even try to haggle so I was cool with that.
