    Overloading PSU (anyway to tell other than BOOM?)

    I would buy/borrow a power meter and see how much power is being drawn from the mains. Then you get a good idea of how much your PSU is loaded instead of buying a new one.

    Quiet i7 920 GTX 285 system

    Well if u want a quiet system i have to make sure that the gtx 285 doesn't have coil noise whining. I got a inno3d gtx285 card and when inside games i can hear this a lot :(

    Ok would just update this thread to tell that i have found a solution for my problem. It seems that my problem in CS and all other games isn't the same and when i tried another harddisk than WDC green caviar drive the problems was fixed in both TF2 and COD4. So never buy such a drive for gaming ^^

    Tried stock settings and doesn't work either. so tried 333*9 , 333*9.5 and 400*9 settings. Left 4 dead works fine too so dont sure what to make of all this.

    The only thing that i can see is using cpu power while playing CS is "system" and its using around 0-10% cpu power.

    Well it didn't spike to 100% then, because i checked with proces explorer and couldn't see any major spikes. Can post a log of which process that i have running when i come home from work but its pretty much clean.

    Putted in a new harddrive. Formatted it and installed winxp pro 32bit sp2. Updated everything in windows update, installed chipset driver, installed nvidia driver and updated directx. After that i downloaded steam and downloaded CS through that. CS still made those spikes like my computer...

    Yes it does it in non-networked games got my got my cable unplugged.. Using 100Hz if i have V-sync on else i got 120hz... using a samsung RZ2233 screen.
