I have been happy with 10 so far. When 8 came out i migrated to a mac and love it, but have slowly been using 10 and have had no issues. kind of reminds me of XP, where it actually works!

I have a pair of PA-3020's with 9 site to site VPNs terminating (ASA5505). Seems pretty reliable, We also use it for Threat prevention and content filtering.
Cisco ASA uses the ASDM, which is ok, but if you use the wizards to config you get a lot of un-needed items in your configuration.
Have you looked into the PA-200 from Palo Alto at all. IMO, it is a much better firewall.
I actually have that particular chromebook. I did not know cdw stocked it! I had looked there in the past and they only had the WIFI only book.

You should be able to install the drivers on the print server computer for all versions.
On the sharing tab of the printer properties there is an additional drivers button. put the drivers for each type of client machine you have there.
If this is a home setup
You could get a cheap Belkin Switch have the cable modem plug in there. then get two cheap routers and plug them into the switch then have each router hand out dhcp, but different subnets. Then plug one set devices into each.
Are you machines part of a domain or workgroup? If they are part of a workgroup, have you given the appropriate permissions, like everyone can print? do you have DNS setup some where?
