    If you have $3000 to spend on a 52 inch 1080p... then I would got the 8800GTX... it crushes all other cards at high resolutions.. 8800GTS are amazing for 1280x1024... 1920x1080 might be cutting it. edit: the R600's are coming...

    A stock 3800+ X2 or even a 4400+ X2 won't do a whole for gaming.. they are obviously better for multitasking, but their clock speeds are similar to what you have now... I have seen a FX-55 , 2.6Ghz, 1MB go for about $150ish on these forums.. this CPU will be able to hit around 3.0Ghz...
