    Titan on X58? Worth it?

Okay guys I have a very much loved X58 based gaming system. I want to know if it is worth it to put one or two Titans on it? It is a meticulously assembled water cooled setup, and I really don't want to break it down. It's a work of art... a master piece in my mind so to speak... currently it...

    16x 2.0 PCIe

Resistance is Futile... I have two GTX580's in SLI on a EVGA X58 Classified3 (141-GT-E770) motherboard. The CPU is an i7 990x running at 4.4Ghz. The system has two separate water cooling loops. One triple fan radiator loop for the motherboard and CPU, and one dual fan radiator loop for the...

    Intel HD 4000

Makes me wish I had gotten instead... maybe an AMD A8-3870K? On the other hand... it's funny how even with an added Geforce GT 520, the power use may still be less with the Intel setup than an AMD setup. I do really wish Intel could get their head out of their azz with their graphics... do it...

    Intel HD 4000

With the HD-4000 connected to the HP-LP3065, the windows screen resolution control panel doesn't have the 1920x1200 listed... there is an option to unhide 1920x1200, but that resolution gives a blank screen. Same with the Intel Graphics utility, the resolution isn't available and if you specify...

    Intel HD 4000

Hey thanks for the reply, good information! I wonder why then if I connect the HD4000 to my Dell U3011, I get a max resolution of 1600x1200? Also, why am I able to run at the intermediate resolution of 1920x1200 on the HP LP3065 when I connect it to a Geforce GT 520?

    3 GTX 580 vs 1 690?

If I could find buyers and the price was right I'd do it... but no water block yet for 690... and realistically you should be patient and wait for the GK110. If you could sell the cards at $500 a piece then go for it... if the selling price is $400 or so then I'd save myself the hassle and wait...

    Intel HD 4000

Hi folks, I just wanted to build a low power home theater system. I grabbed an Asus P8Z77-WS and a Intel i7-3770S to connect to my beautiful HP LP3065 30 inch monitor. The monitor only has DVI input, which is why I choose the Asus WS board. The specs for the Asus board state that the...

    CPU bottle neck?

With Left 4 Dead 2 running at 2560x1600 with all setting at max, MSI afterburner says both GTX285s are 98% utilized. I guess I'm balanced as per CPU/GPU etc... think I'll leave things well enough alone. ;)

    CPU bottle neck?

Thanks prtuc2, great forum thread. Looks like I won't be getting GTX580's until I build an I7 platform for them. :( Well guess I will be waiting for a good EVGA Sandy Bridge board... ;) I don't spend a lot of time bench marking and such, but now I'm wondering if my two GTX285's in SLI are too...

    CPU bottle neck?

I have an EVGA 790i FTW digital with 8 GB of DDR3, and a Q9650 that is running very nicely at 4.2 GHz. I was wondering if the system is fast enough to go with a pair of the new GTX 580's in SLI? My water cooled system has been running for a few years beautifully without any problems, and I...
