Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
I just made a new machine using a sata disk as the main drive. Is there a way to use a cd or flash drive or pretty much anything but a floppy disk to get the driver into windows install? I don't have a floppy drive, and do not plan on wasting money on one.
Thanks
Is there any software similar to pc anywhere that is cheaper. Something like GoToMyPC would be perfect, but they have a monthly fee for the product. It needs to be simple, the user is not a computer guru he just knows his way around the computer well enough to figure out the majority of what he...
I am in the process of building a new comp... I am unsure of whether to go with an SLI configuration of 2x Geforce 6800 XT in SLI or a single 7600 GT
Any advice? If i do go with the single 7600, it is highly likely that I will upgrade later on and add a second. I don't know if it is...
I have tried the 2k computer in every port on the router. It has a pci nic, im not sure of the brand of it. It is an old machine (p3, 256mb sdram). There are no identical computers on the network, each is severely different from the others.
Thank you for the information. I have limited my problem down to a DNS issue i believe. Occasionally, computerA will be browsing the internet and suddenly it can't get anywhere until the browser is restarted. This really only occurs on computerA, computers B and C are not experiencing this...
Thanks for the reply. I should have mentioned that I already have the network set up. 3 computers networked via cat6 to a d-link router to the cable modem. The router is crap, and is causing alot of connectivity issues. A co-worker suggested that a switch would resolve connectivity issues, and...
I am setting up a home network, and I am unsure of what would be my best option. Each computer has its own software firewall, so I am not worried about the firewall part of a router. It is likely that I will use the option that is the most simple to setup. I have also read somewhere that you...
I am looking at building a carputer, and have thought about using my subwoofer enclosure as a case. The problem is that im not sure if using the subwoofer with the puter in the box will cause problems. Does this sound like a reasonable idea or would it just cause problems and cause me to break...
I got it. I used CLR to clean out all the deposits. That stuff is amazing. Removed most everything instantly, and only required a few minutes of soaking to remove the harder stuff.
Thanks for your help
