    I7 960 cooling ideas

    I have been looking at getting a new liquid cooling set-up for my 960. I am trying to clock it at 4.0. I was looking at the CORSAIR H100 and thinking of adding 2 more fans for push set-up. Any ideas or suggestions?

    Thanks for the advice. I went in and lowered the voltage and now it dropped 13C down to 70C while stress testing and now idles at the same temp as stock clock.

    I will say with the OC I was only hitting 50-52C while gaming. I am using Tuniq TX-2 thermal paste.

    Ya I will have to do some more tweaking but I just ran the stock temps(Should have done that first). They are 40C idle and 72C max running prime95 with the BClk at 133 and turbo is enabled.     I am using a asetek 550lc with 2 120mm fans. My BClk is is to 160 but the multiplier is 25 and I did not see anywhere to adjust the multiplier.

    I just successfully overclocked my I7 960 from the stock 3.2GHz to 4.0GHz. Here are the results the computer idles around 45-50C and while running prime95 for 30min it averaged around 75C and hit a max of 83C. I am new to overclocking and I was wondering is 83C high?
