Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
Hello All,
I have a few questions about laptops with Biometric Scanners.
1.) Is it possible to make it so you can not even turn on the computer without using the fingerprint scanner? Like setting a BIOS level password of a sorts, but instead of using a password using the fingerprint...
To make removing the IHS as easy as possible...
1.) Put the CPU in the freezer for 5 minutes.
2.) Get a little cup and put nail polish remover in it or any type of rubbing alcohol.
3.) Dip the blade of the razor in the nail polish remover and goto town on the processor.
Doing it this way...
Yeah man 1 pin is no big thing :) Bought an Opty 165 and opened the package carelessly (was quite anxious to check the stepping of the processor) and when I opened it it fell onto my desk. 1/4 of the pins were bent but i fixed them with a razor blade. Chip is running 2.8ghz @ 1.38v as we speak...
I suppose the temperature is reason enough, but might I recommend that next time you don't mention the overclocking thing ;-) People just as myself are real sensitive about others RMAing for poor overclocking.
