We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.

Biometric Scanners and Laptops

Hello All,

I have a few questions about laptops with Biometric Scanners.

1.) Is it possible to make it so you can not even turn on the computer without using the fingerprint scanner? Like setting a BIOS level password of a sorts, but instead of using a password using the fingerprint scanner.

2.) How easy would it be to bypass the security features the fingerprint scanner provides? Like for example, if I wanted to make it so I had to run my fingerprint to log into Windows, could this be bypassed by booting into safe mode?

Thanks!
Bill
