I always need a misc computer part.... power cord, sata cable, usb cable, hdd screws, case screws, mobo mounting screws, sata power cable, 80mm fan, 120mm fan, etc... Is there a list somewhere of all the misc computer parts we should keep in stock to avoid slow downs? I tried searching on here...
Thank you all for helping. I opted to move forward with LukeTbk's suggestion above. I went for the 2x16gb of ram option. I'll keep an eye on the PSU and upgrade if I get any weird PSU-type issues.
Thank you for your help.
Per the microsoft.com URL: I downloaded the 64-bit driver and installed it. I originally received this message:
I was able to select "Install" despite receiving that message, and then after it finished installing, I received this error message:

I am trying to figure out if there is any solution to installing an old Microsoft mouse driver over the newer mouse driver that comes with Win10.
Background: I've been using a Microsoft Intellimouse Explorer 2.0 since 2003. The mouse, in my opinion, is superior to all other mice simply due to...
I have been really happy with my Dell UP3017's. However, you can't buy them new from Amazon anymore. Are there any good alternatives that are 30", IPS, and 16:10 aspect ratio? These came color calibrated, which was also pretty nice, so that'd be ideal for the next monitor as well. I'm not...

So you're saying you can test the RAM from inside the OS now? If so, what program do you recommend?
I haven't tried. I ordered Windows 10 and it arrives May 9th. I put an Ubuntu Server disc in there and the system would boot to that, so it sounds like my memtest86+ 5.01 is no longer supported...
Understood on the SSD. I've always tested RAM and HDD prior to use, just to confirm there are no issues with either. In the event I find any issues up front, it allows me time to swap it out with the Retailer instead of going through the warranty with the manufacturer.
I was able to get XMP enabled, but can't get the system to boot Memtest86+ 5.01. The motherboard doesn't recognize any bootable devices in the bios. It sees my DVD rom, SSD and HDD, but doesn't say I can boot to any of them and the boot device priority is greyed out. On another machine, I was...
