    RiverRicer...no the board does not have ACC in bios Christof139...i'm pretty sure i did win repair correctly and also did chkdsk the first and last time i got into windows but i do have time to wait and appreciate all the help. if all fail i will get myself a Gigabyte board 780g for htpc use...

    Again thanks for all the help will definitely try Window Repair and see what happens...by the way i did try it on my other comp m/b Gigabyte M78SM-S2H HTPC got it to 3.2ghz without voltage bump...amazing CPU!!

    thkz for all the reply...the sys goes all the way as far as running everest ultimate for a sec to see temps on the bottom right corner and it does fluctuate between 39-41 f with min load...will try again later to set vcore to specified voltage...and lastly if all fail will reformat hdd...thank...

    Cally...by the way what case are you going to use cause that Xigmatek hdts1283 120mm cooler is pretty big and it barely fits in my son's Antec 900. Great choice of components.

    Psychlone... i have a gigabyte matx ga-m78sm-s2h with a fsb of 2600mhz using with a am2+ phenom 9750 2.4hz / 2 gig 1066 g skill . to monitor HT i use cpuz and it shows 1900-1980hz i know im doin somethin wrong i cant get the full 2600hz fsb (cpu @ 2.625)...need help:confused: great guide!

    ill be on the safe side make a back-up And swap my sys to my son's...but one problem his psu is a xclio 500w active pfc two +12v rail 18a each when i used everest ultimate it showed 11.67v on load and 11.70 idle...with my sys (9750 phenom) ocz 500w psu active pfc two +12v rail pumpin 12.67v on...
