Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
Yeah - that was the problem. I bought a very expensive case - the NZXT Lexa... you'd think they could get something as simple as a power switch to be reliable.
I disconnected the power switch cord, and I'm now using the integrated power button on my motherboard. It's been rock stable for...
The HSF is running. Voltage looks good and steady to the CPU and RAM. Clean install of Windows.
I will try the CD you mentioned and report my findings.
I built a brand new system last week. All was well, until this past Sunday. The system started randomly shutting down. When I push the power button it will attempt to start, then again shut down. This will happen a few times, then it will finally muster the strength to boot up. What could the...
I did some more research and found that there is very little benefit to increasing memory bandwidth, except for high memory benchmarking scores. Would it be accurate to say that I'd be better served by keeping my FSB at 200Mhz and trying to tighten up my memory timings? I'm looking to maximize...
I purchased this DFI motherboard, and I've been trying my best to overclock the FSB - but having absolutely no luck.
My setup:
DFI Lan Party UT RDX200
(2) 1GB Sticks of OCZ Platinum DDR 500 (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16820227224)
AMD FX-60
Enermax Liberty 620W...
Ok. Question then: Do you think it is possible to use just the PCI pass-thru hardware from the kit and then mount the radiator directly to the back of the box, screwed into the fan holes? This would allow me to keep the fan inside the box, blowing air out onto the radiator mounted outside.
That's a good idea. One concern I have though is heat generated by the radiator. Would it not be better for the airflow to go from inside the case, outside to the radiator?
I just purchased the components to build an AMD FX-60 based system (DFI LanParty UT RDX200 CF-DR with Two 1GB sticks of OCZ Platinum Edition DDR 500). I've never installed a water cooling solution before, but I intend to overclock the FX-60 as much as possible - so water cooling seemed like the...
So, assuming I go with the DFI board (which looks very nice by the way), what RAM would you guys recommend I pair with it and the FX-60 for serious overclocking and performance? I'm going to need 2GB, so two matched 1GB sticks is the obvious choice. I'm not sure what brand and line to go with...
I would consider it, but that is a Socket 940 CPU. As far as I know, there are not any Socket 940 CrossFire motherboards. I'm trying to build the very fastest CrossFire machine that money can buy :)
