The Expanse: Osiris Reborn

Just watched the ending of it. Looks decent enough, short demo/beta though.

Looks like this one will depend upon many things coming together quickly but it has potential to be really good. The voice acting and narrative tempo need work but I think this could be worth a play through or more if at least that works better. Too early to tell for a lot of it so wait and hope the team can grow with the universe they portray.
 
Firing up ME 2 in the legendary collection reminded me of how much I miss the classic trilogy style of gameplay, especially ME2 and ME3. The Exanse Osiris Reborn and Exodus both have potential to scratch that itch. Based on the videos so far, Exodus seems to have more polished combat, but both games seem interesting. Combat looks a bit stiff and clunky in the videos of Osiris Reborn, but they do have another 6 months to polish it. Hopefully the story and exploration is good along with good combat when they are released as finished products. In an ideal world, both turn out to be great ME style games with some fresh ideas.
 
While I'm super excited about this, I'm kind of nervous how it will translate into a game. So much of what makes the Expanse books and show great, isn't really combat related. It's hard turning that sort of thing into a game.

Indeed! For me, it's much more about the story and characters than combat. I re-read the books over the past spring/summer and will re-binge the show next year when the game has a firm release date. It has big shoes to fill, but I remain optimistic.
