Tides of Annihilation Q&A (2026 Tentative Launch, 30+ Hours, Light RPG Elements) + Exclusive Screens

The developers have several years of experience at triple-A studios like Sega, Ubisoft, and Gameloft...for example, the game's producer designed combat in Yakuza 0, while the lead programmer worked on technologies used in Assassin's Creed and Prince of Persia games...the team also clarified that, much like Black Myth: Wukong, Eclipse Glow Games has received an investment from Tencent but is not owned by Tencent...

Looks cool, just please let it not be another "soulslike"
It kind of looks that way from the little gameplay we see in the trailer, unfortunately. I hope it leans more toward a character action game than a Soulslike.

Agreed. Though one of the major points to "soulslike" games is having poor stories, and this trailer seems to imply it will have a stronger narrative. But gameplay is still up in the air, and I don't really get excited for rendered trailers anymore.

Yeah, I saw that's why I'm concerned. But there is a faint chance it might be more hack & slash.

They are usually thin on story, but even if this one is the exception I still can't stand souls gameplay.

They can’t make Souls games fast enough for me, I hope it leans into it hard. Looks damn interesting either way though.

This has fun, attractive characters....

must not be a western dev.

Looks good. Interesting to see Chinese studios get into mainstream AAA games. Usually they have focused on Chinese market games and free to play.

FSR4 please.
haha that assumes AMD actually pays money to have a large army of developer relations agents who actually make the lives of games studios easier and has the capitol to compensate the added development time of including/troubleshooting/marketing a feature that less than 10% of the market can use.

But if AMD did that, Nvidia wouldn't be at 90% market share.

I can always dream can't I.

Could say the same for games like Far Cry 6 and The Callisto Protocol. FSR4 is also locked to RDNA 4, meaning even less than the 10% of the market you say can use DLSS4 can use FSR4.

This is looking seriously bad ass! Might be worthy of breaking my 'no buying at release' rule...

Idk, that looked more like an interactive/qte cutscene than a boss fight to me. Looked really cool but if that’s the style it won’t be for me.

Looks fantastic, but I wish I could trust installing it on my system :(.

I was wondering why. I guess people are that paranoid. It's not like China isn't already buying your data from that collected in other games.
I'm more concerned with malware/system scraping spyware etc., not my activity in games.
