Blow into it or don't, it doesn't matter. It will still look like a smoker's PC on the inside from the vaping liquid residue (glycerin and propylene glycol) floating in the air. :vomit:

This is going to depreciate the value of them when trading into gamestop.
XBOX smoke eddition.

Old friend used to smoke and would blow the smoke in front of his PC to watch it get sucked in by the fans. :/

not surprised by this at all.

Never understood vaping. You gotta smoke cigarettes, smoke em down to the filter. That's where the vitamins are!

Some people like the nicotine, and not so much the burning leaves.

Seriously though the resin compounds it leaves behind build up over time and cause all sorts of electrical issues. Got asked to deal with a student device a month or so ago, nice ROG laptop too and it was ruined, had a crystal film all over the inside following the air path. Corroded the shit out of the inside of the laptop had to break the news to him that it was dead and would cost more than its worth to fix. He was pissed and all I could tell him was the resin leftover from his popcorn flavoured vape is what did it, and he was shocked, to say the least.

I've never had issues with smoking or vaping in regards to electronics, and I'm what someone would classify as a "heavy user". Frankly if you are conscious about what you are doing, have decent air circulation, and avoid blowing vapor or smoke directly into the electronic - there should really be zero issues. The issue arises when people aren't aware of what they're doing or that they can potentially be damaging their components. A little mindfulness goes a long way. But alas there will always be young ones Chimney-smoking directly into their fans because it "looks cool".

Uhh... no.

Slimy, grimy mess? Perhaps. Possibility of corrosion? Maybe. But in no way, shape, or form will it resemble having to scrape an eighth of an inch of tar off of the motherboard just to read the model number.

Fun times...

Yeah, comparing vapor to smoke is pretty ignorant. Numerous gas chromatographic analyses have shown massive differences in particulates produced by combustion vs vaporization. And I don't even vape.

I have been vaping around my computers for years now. Yes there is a bit of fogging on the glass side panel and yes the dust on my fans is a bit "thicker" but overall the inside of my case and components are not slimy. Vape naturally condensates on cold glass but warm air will typically cause it to evaporate away. In the winter months my house windows get greasy film but come sumer it dries up and goes away. There is no vape slime on my walls or anything else it is just the cold glass windows where it likes to condence on.

Please tell Microsoft if you have been to areas where certain fungal infections are common.

Not at all.. I've been vaping in my computer room (8x10') for the better part of 8 years -- not a single sign of anything in my servers that run 24/7, nor the gaming PC's. No residue, no yellowing, no stickiness, etc. The "smoker's pc" look is from the tar in the cigarettes or cigars binding to dust and sticking to PC components.

A friend of mine asked me to fix his PC. When I opened it up everything was covered in a sticky black slime. Turns out one of his family members smoked 2 to 3 packs a day, and would blow it into his computer to get the smoke away from them. I made him just buy an entirely new PC.

Freon TF spray is what I use to clean cigarette tar and stench out of people's computers. It makes it like new again.
