This a legit deal?

It's still available. I can order a pair of boots from that seller.

I know its still available, but those are like $250 boots. He's got four listings for boots, then helmets and a jacket. I've got folks on another forum lining up buying them. I'm trying to warn them, but its only $20, what the hell. Dude make like $1000 from those guys alone.

Looks like potentially a knockoff or a guy that took several cases from the factory/b stock that didnt pass qc.

I read your OP wrong. I thought you said he closed his account already.

In fairness, the markup on shoes is insane. $250 boots probably only cost $15 to make in China.

He's got a helmet and jacket too though.

I'm the first person to say stay away from eBay scammers when the price is too good to be true, so I wouldn't personally buy it. I just don't know enough about it. But if you do, I'd trust your judgment. I never shopped for motorcycle gear.

The big thing is would you trust your life (or at least ankles/skin) on a bargain deal?

If its a proper item, sure. deals are out there. I bought a $400 helmet for $90 because it had a scratch in the lens. Bought a new lens for short money and away I went. Total legit helmet. So who knows.

Fair, but based off the prices and quantity theres a higher chance it cheap knockoffs though that wont do a proper job protecting you.
Especially the 300$ helmet that is going for $15

Almost 1/3 of the feedback on the seller is by users who are no longer registered, and the seller has only been around september 2018. The feedback itself is also fake looking, as none of it mentions the actual items they bought, only generic responses.

One of the following things will happen.

1. You get a knockoff of what you ordered. Best case scenario, also the least likely.
2. You get a completely irrelevant item (order boots, get a keychain when it arrives), this is so they have a tracking number and can claim you got your item, and may be banking on you forgetting what you ordered.
3. You get nothing. This is the most likely scenario. Again, this scam banks on you forgetting about your order and trying to get a refund. You may get a fake tracking number.

These scams don't work on the assumption that everyone falls for it, they only need a few to do so and they made profit.

I saw this happen all the time with video cards on Ebay.

mmk. this makes sense. mostly banking on you forgetting about the order since its pushed so far out.

You've never seen fake shit before?

Meh, I gave it a shot. There's a cosplay I'd love to do, and with a little bit of paint, these would look really bitchin'

Also: Not too worried if they don't make it or not over a few dollars.

I could put a picture of a Ferrari on there and say I'm only asking 10 grand for it.

They would be great for that....but to wear them as actual motorcycle boots would be a bit nuts IMHO..

Ebay just emailed me about 'concerns about a sellers account'

so... I'm assuming nothing's gonna happen lol
