Well, it goes back about 70 years.I'm gonna guess there is a pretty large dash of racism involved. The chinese haaaate the japanese, and man does it go back a long way.
Well, they're not exactly complaining about cheaper prices.
They're complaining because it was sold at a much higher price to them.
Like you wouldn't complain if you got a new anything, and then 1 month later they cut the price in half on the same item? I'm sure as hell would feel shitty and cheated about that.
You could say that's the price of doing business with steam. Their 47% off barely matches the price I paid for the game when I pre-ordered.
Complaining about cheaper prices, people will complain about anything
It's clearly a business decision and I don't blame them for that.It just a shitty thing to do for a brand new game which had no DLC released. The game has also been very hyped and expensive as well as so so in terms of mechanics and gameplay. I preordered for bonus content only as is the only case I ever preorder unless it's a CDPR game. This tactic will surely backfire on them with next releases.
Most were never educated how to properly act in any situation tbh.
They're generally spoiled brats who're coddled to a degree most would not believe or even comprehend....especially the boys.

Early adopters are pissed that Shadow of the Tomb Raider is already 34% off (and 47% off for the Croft Edition with all the DLC) just a month after release, and a majority are venting their frustration by giving the title bad scores on Steam. For whatever reason, most of these negative reviews are reportedly coming from Chinese gamers.
On Reddit, predator8137 has provided a rough translation of a few responses, many of them with angry words for Square Enix. “50% off in one month, SE is unethical.” “Your mom is dead. If I ever preorder again I’m an idiot. I’ll eat sh*t if I ever touch your game again.” “Go fu*k yourself SE, 43% off in one month. These Japanese developers should die. Ugly business practice.”

Are you really that dense? Is it so hard to comprehend that people who already bought the game would be upset when it still has huge bugs yet goes on sale for nearly 50% off just 4 weeks after launch. Even the unreleased content is on sale. Only a fucking moron would defend that garbage move.People should be happy the game is going on sale so soon, usually you have to wait longer. I can't for the life of me imagine why anyone would be upset when a game goes on sale. The sooner people can pick up new games at more reasonable prices, the better. Always a better plan to just wait for the prices to come down. I think the last game I grabbed on day one was Witcher 3, and I definitely didn't regret that. Usually though I end up waiting anywhere from weeks to months (or even way longer) before I grab a game. By then the prices are usually more tolerable, and the devs have usually pushed out at least a few patches. If I grabbed a game at launch for $60 and then 3 weeks later it goes on sale for $20, I'd be ecstatic. Now people don't have to pay the same price I had to pay for the same game. I'm not gonna jump on the game's store page and write a bad review just because more people are able to get the game at a way better price. I'd think it was fucking awesome that the game's price went down so fast. Like Brent said:

Whining about it going on sale doesn't change the fact that people that bought it early were willing to pay $60. It may be a shitty move, but they only care about their bottom line. Are you really that dense? The success of a game can always be measured by how quickly it is discounted. It is almost better than reviews.Yeah its always worth checking GMG/similar sites. Steam isn't the best price at launch. But GMG essentially has a permanent sale. But right now Steam beats GMG by $6 so its always worth checking back before you purchase. Eventually this game will go on deep discount on Steam (~ $7.50) and GMG will no longer be competitive price wise. But it won't happen nearly as fast as it did. Just checking and confirming that DE HR went down to $10 just four months post release seems crazy.
I'm also going to assume the mediocre nature of the game and likely sales have prompted the discount this quickly (for 2018 standards).
It's clearly a business decision and I don't blame them for that.
A simple solution: don't pre-order and never buy games at launch. Ignore glowing reviews as well.

After a year? Doom 2016 came out in May 2016, and I bought it in July of that same year for $28.79 from Green Man Gaming.Learnt my lesson when Doom was 50% cheaper after a year.
First one was fine, second one was amazing, third one is fine again.I felt like the first one was amazing, 2nd one was "fine". How's this 3rd one in comparison to the first 2?

In other words you have no idea what the hell you're talking about. But please point me to all the other games that went on sale for nearly 50% off just 4 weeks after launch including unreleased DLC. That should be no problem because according to you it's pretty standard.Don't see the big deal. This seems pretty standard to me nowadays.

Yet another person with piss poor reading comprehension skills. Most of the anger is with people not even being able to play the game all the way through because it had so many bugs. And then they are discounting the full version of the game even more and all the DLC which has not even been released yet. So yes discounting a game nearly 50% off just 4 weeks after launch while it still has technical issues preventing those that paid at or near full price from finishing it is a shity move. It's almost like there are just nothing but assholes in this forum that get off on seeing other people get crapped on.Mmmmhmmmm, I'm gonna complain that it's not cheap enough yet / I can wait longer. See what December brings.
And sorry not sorry to all the pre-order whiners. You knew what you were doing. You bought it early so you could play it right away and you did so suck it up and eat your price premium. Maybe you learned a lesson?

I can't believe all the whiners lol. I paid in full for my preorder of the Croft Edition and have no regrets. I wanted to support the devs and my favorite game franchise,.
Well, it goes back about 70 years.
It does not help that the CPC encourages it. It's pushed in their textbooks and it's constantly on TV.
The f'd up part about the whole thing is that if it were not for the Japanese occupation of China, brutal though it was, the CPC would not be in power today. The CPC cost China far more lives than the Japanese did.

Well depends on what did you like about the first one. Then I guess I will like it
How is the gameplay the same as the second one? The third game is much more about tombs and has hardly any action at all compared to the previous game.Well depends on what did you like about the first one.
First had an amazing setting, and the story was allright, but the gameplay was mediocre.
Second had an allright setting, allright story, and amazing gameplay.
The third has a mediocre setting, and mediocre story, but the same gameplay as the second.
How does this game being on sale equate to people being screwed over? Unless I missed something, and used digital game licenses can be resold, the value of what was purchased isn't diminished by the current price since it has no value to anyone but the person who purchased it. If you bought the game and want to be angry with anyone, be angry with yourself for making a bad choice to buy it at release. In other words you're just an asshole that gets off on seeing other people get screwed over. And if you possessed an IQ above a fish stick then you would comprehend that it is most certainly aggravating for a game to go on a 50% sale just four weeks after launch when there are still bugs that prevent those that paid full price from even completing the game. But hey go ahead and get back to stroking yourself thinking about how nice it is that people got screwed over. In the meantime, I am certainly entitled to my opinion and I'm certainly entitled to give a game a bad review for doing what they did.
