Is my laptop hosed?

I cleaned the keyboard off last night with one of those cleaner pads that is very slightly moist (not wet enough to have liquid dripping off of it, though). Some liquid must have dripped into the circuits because now many of the keys are typing gibberish, or multiple characters.

I don't know what I can do about that, and am concerned that I might have fried my system.

Be careful if you attempt to remove the keyboard. I killed a similar MSI laptop doing a cleanup from the mess a 20 once cup of coffee made. I think the damage was done by putting the monitor cable in. I did not notice that it was on an angle (shorting the pins)..

it's still wacky....certain keys don't respond and certain keys get randomly triggered to be activated endlessly after it's been on for a few minutes.

take it apart and hit the contacts with contact cleaner, clean all the pads, let it dry, reassemble and hope it works or get a new keyboard for ~$60 on ebay.

how hard is that repair to do? I have to order a new one since a place I took it to dehyrdated it and the keyboard is still on the fritz. they quoted me $180 in a text for the replacement and repair. I'm not an experienced computer tinkerer and the poster above me mentioned the risk. if it's not too tricky, I might give it a shot to save $100, but if it is, I'd sooner just pay them. thanks

not hard. I think on that unit there is a plastic trim piece at the top of the k/b, pop that off, undo 5 screws, unhook a ribbon and its out
