AM4 ITX?

Hrrm ... makes me want to get a 3d Printer Really! They are getting cheap now too!

I really think I am going to build a Mini-ITX 8 Core Zen box to replace the monstrosity in my sig. My problem will be GPU wise... I have a 980Ti and I am going probably trade it up for 490 when they come out. Or if I can find a mini-ITX case that will take this monster sized card that would be nice too. With DIMM densitiy I can easily pack 32GB ram into 2 ram slots and I will also water cool with a small external radiator and overclock.

Well, I am looking for a mini ITX MB that has a front-mounted M.2 slot, hoping ASRock will come out with an AMD / Ryzen equivalent of the H270 / Z270 mITX MB they currently offer (both, of course, with front-mounted M.2 slots)…

And then I need an ITX Vega GPU that performs as well or better than a GTX 1070 minimum, but would prefer something (still an ITX GPU) that performs as well or better than a 1080 GPU…!

ITX boards are really popular now. I am sure there will be plenty.

No ITX board have been announced and only 1 company has stated that they are interested in making an itx motherboard (biostar).

There is high demand for them right now & with small builds. Other companies will follow suite. Patients grasshopper. :)

I haven't seen any yet. I'm interested as well. Already ordered my SFX power supply and case in anticipation, lol.

Why is ITX getting no love? :(
Because enthusiasts don't design these boards or the conceptual product line. There's a large disconnect between the companies and the actual consumer. They throw something on the wall and see if it sticks. Right now that thing is RGB LED's.

I think the ITX pickings on the AMD side have been slim for a while. Just looked at Newegg, AMD Mobo section, shipped by Newegg, grand total of 7 new AMD mini-ITX boards. That doesn't include any that might be in the embedded section of the site. Intel side it's like 40 new mini-ITX boards.

Pretty disappointed that no itx is on the horizon for even near-launch, and uatx seems like an afterthought. Lots of overloaded blingshit full atx though, yessiree.

I wonder how much AMx backplate profile being rectangular affects the general lack of smaller designs?

This is shaping to be the budget-but-good platform but seems like the motherboards may end up being a pretty weak link.
All you should really want are decent VRMs etc, overclocking chipset, x16 3.0, m2 to the dedicated cpu port, expose all the available sata/usb ports (headers are good enough) and a NIC that isn't realtek (I know, asking for intel would be too much) then you are golden. Fuck the blingshit, sigh.

I think these will be available when the Zen based APUs launch.

We will see. All I know is I will grab a Kaby Lake for now to satisfy my hunger for new tech. If AMD gets Ryzen ITX out the door I will sell off the 7700k and its board and go Ryzen.

I read somewhere (can't recall where) that manufacturers mostly focused on ATX boards over mATX and ITX for the initial launch of new boards. They'll most likely be around in a few weeks or so I bet from the usual brands. It took Asus quite a while to release that mATX x99 WS board after all.

I like that it's happening though. I need Intel lan/wi-fi/blue tooth. Well needs a strong word but i do prefer it

Also, it looks like on the website that was quoted from, Asrock says the release is coming in June.

Why is there no news on any ITX boards, you would think there would be at least one board out by now

Biostar x370 mini itx is out, I have mine sitting on my desk waiting to be built.

My 1700x is on chvi but I cant wait to convert it to sff. Tired of monster sized PC.

Biostar isn't that big in Australia as far as I can see it's not available here yet, I would much prefer a Gigabyte, Asus, MSI or ASRock board.

I need help with biostar itx!!!! I built it this morning, no post. I think Biostar uses AMI bios so I installed the little speaker and of course...there were a few beep sound. 3 short beeps and 1 short pulse, then 8 short beeps. I looked up AMI BIOS code...3 short beeps are for memory and 8 short beeps are for display read/write memory error. I then remove the HDMI cable but kept the GPU on the board. Now I get 3 short beeps only.

I'm using Gskill fortis 2666 2x 8GB which is meant for Ryzen... I cross tested the memory individually and in both slots..still no go.... For anyone using this board or other Biostar board, which memory did you buy and any problem? I think I need to buy another pair and try out first before I say this board is defective. Thanks.

Have u tried pulling the cmos battery with the power cord disconnected and then holding power button for about 15sec to reset bios. Can u try the memory in another system

I really want to move my 1700x to a itx and get rid of this behemoth Caselabs TH10. I dont want massive cabinents anymore.
