I got mine at Fry's in CA.Do any local stores like best buy carry these monitors? Really want to check them out locally
Dell OLED for a kings ransomWhat are the options? Acer or Asus?
should be a good thing if that post by someone is true about the added QCMy monitor arrived on Saturday and I unboxed it today. Just wanted to let you all know it has an April 2016 build date. So far based upon my research most people seem to have January build dates, don't think I've read about anyone having one that recent. Not sure if this is good or bad - in a few hours I'll fire it up and post my impressions.
wow...thats garbage return that asapWell I wish I had something better to report. The colors on this monitor are really something else as is the design. Yes there is backlight bleed but it doesn't seem as bad as the photos I've seen and varies greatly depending on the angle of view. It is clear to me seeing this panel for the first time that this is an inherent part of the tech. The problem with my panel is multiple dead pixels all over the place. I count at least 4 major "bright" ones and if I look around it almost looks like there are about that many more that also are glowing an off color just not as brightly? Ugh. Not sure what to do, going to bed. Any way to try to get rid of these dead pixels?

debatable. unethical business being cheapHere's what I don't get. Why are the mid/high-priced monitors having all these problems with dead/stuck pixels? I have had ZERO issues with any name brand (Samsung, HP, Dell, BenQ) <$300 monitor when it comes to dead/stuck pixels. Whenever I try one of these $400-$900 panels, I see all kinds of defects.

Whats even funnier is that my 27" korean IPS that i bought about 3 years ago is still working perfectly, no dead pixels and only a slight backlight bleed when the screen is all black. I can overclock it up to 120hz if i want (i leave it at 96hz ) and it only cost me $290.Here's what I don't get. Why are the mid/high-priced monitors having all these problems with dead/stuck pixels? Sorry about your monitor Geddon-jt - I so want one of these but it does seem a lottery if you get a decent one or not. Dead pixels on a monitor this expensive is simply inexcusable and not an option. I have nearly pulled the trigger about 5 times this week on Amazon but the QC seems so poor even with recently manufactured panels that I am going to hold off I think.
This monitor has been sitting in my wish list since release. I desperately want to upgrade from my GTX 970 & 24" 1080p TN to a GTX 1080 & 27" 1440p IPS.LOL, that's me. It's sitting in my "save for later" area on Amazon and I simply can't make myself do it so I guess I'll just keep on waiting and waiting and waiting....

Wow, never seen such terrible BL bleed -- it made it through the base of your monitor all the way to your keyboard.Really don't know the "correct way" to take a blacklight bleed photo, but i took a quick photo with my note 5. It does show some backlight bleed but I don't see it. I always run a black desktop.
Even on my dell U2410 next to it, I don't see any? I think the camera exaggerates it. dunno
25 Brightness
Dam thing looks sweet
That Street Fighter screen shot looks great.......I doubt my regular PG278Q could do that
Well, one thing about PG278Q, is that when calibrated (Spyder 4pro, came free with my BL3201PT) to the same spec as BL3201PT, the only thing I notice from the two is basically the gamma shift as a result of TN, colourwise they are pretty close. That Street Fighter screen shot looks great.......I doubt my regular PG278Q could do that if I buy this monitor I think I'll keep my regular swift then sell my BenQ 24" 144hz which I could never ever get the colors right but I like it because of it's size but I prefer the 27" for almost anything. I see Amazon grouped all of the ROG SWIFT monitors into one big review.
Backs at better on va panels...not sure about tn but ips d not have the best blacks in the worldI know what I'm looking for it's the blacks that stand out on IPS panel I can see it with my TN. I already owned a IPS in the past.
