So, I am now down from a Mustang Delta, 350R, and a base Tali to a bomber Tali and a Gladius.

For some reason, webgl is crashing on me on the website, using chrome.

My referral code is :STAR-QHG9-X4LJ

Referral code whoring is in full swing it would seem. Gotta get those items, gotta collect them all!

Yep, you should help us out and make a bunch of accounts and buy the game for each one since you are a big supporter of the project.

I'm a big supporter, not a braindead one.

I would love to hear your explanation for posting your code here except for getting the promised items, though.

It is obviously about the items, what else would it be about?

That is how referral programs work, you refer someone you get rewarded.

Hm, referral program to participate in crowd funding for game that isn't out yet. I mean, the real fun isn't the game... the REAL fun is how you get Star Dollars for those you refer, and you get 5% of the Star Dollars for the people those people refer. All this immense wealth is created and if we can get ten million people in on it, then they'll, uh, introduce... let's see.. oh yeah, everyone gets to meet a real live alien.

Maybe it'll be better if we just show you a nice graphical layout of what we envision.

I don't know, you tell me. Codes were already posted here, so it's not that yours was needed to incentivize possible new backers with a small UEC perk.

I'm not sure you know how to read or just lack comprehension skills. Since i already told you.

Tho we have had this issue before where you ignore things and pretend no one answered you even tho they have multiple times.

So maybe it is just in your nature to ignore things then get bent out of shape and pretend no one is paying attention to you.

So item whoring it is. You hinted there was something else, hence my confusion.

I was going to use your yours, but the numerous spelling and punctuation errors made me decide not to.

It appears all the Citizencon live gameplay demos machines were running AMD Furys.
Also for owners of the AMD never settle bundle, the melt value is $0 BUT if you CCU to any other ship it counts as $55.

The irony...

Their posts can be summarized as follows:

Such bitter
Much petty
Many troll
Wow
:D

The thing is, they are using facial capturing, this GREATLY enhances the "animation" of the faces and makes them look a lot more lifelike then just normal animation.

It doesn't mean they HAVE to look the same though, just look at Avatar or Rise of the Planet of the Apes, both of those use this kind of facial animation from actors that don't look exactly like them.

It's just easier to do it that way an dnot have to change things for the sake of changing them.

I assume they'll use it for some of the aliens too and they won't look exactly like the actors that portray that character.

That is a good point. It will just be shameful if the industry moves in this direction. Imagine Adam Jensen of Deus Ex on the cover of another game because they happened to use the same actor for different protagonists. Kind of kills the uniqueness of the character.

It's a marketing asset when done for the first time. I don't believe one's likeness would be reused in high profile games.

why is it every one that brings up some thing they don't like about the way development is going is a troll?

can any one name one game that has had this much in game buying of big game changing items that has not sucked and been play to win? they should have went the poe way and only offer skins of ships and items and storage slots of some thing

so because they sell expensive things, you are coming into this with the perception the game is going to suck and be pay to win?

Sound a little bit like a bias opinion before even getting to know how they do things or plan to do things.

There is no way they would have sold 90 million in skins by now. It would be hard to sell skins for an unfinished game and ships that are still changing.

I appreciate the efforts at making a game with such lofty goals, they would have been in a completely different place if only skins were driving revenue.

ahhhh...ahhhhhh...was going to post something in reply to this deluge of negitive comments but then i caught my self. :D

I just got back and wow, so much negativity. As for a timeframe for StarCitizen Alpha 2.0, 3-4 months isn't that unreasonable from past CitizenCon announces.

If I buy an upgrade for my Mustang to the Sabre, will the resulting Sabre have LTI?

nope, CCU's retain the insurance of the base ship. the ccu comes with no insurance it self.

Tho this is the first time there has been a CCU to a concept ship with LTI so it is possible they will allow the sabre CCU to have lti, but for right now no, you do not get lti on a sabre ccu unless the base package/ship had lti.

What about the whole Aurora swap for Mustang (or whatever the other starter is)? Forgot all about that. Is it still possible? Any reason to do it if I am mainly interested in a fighter? Both don't look that great, but the Aurora is exceptionally ugly. :p

no not because they sell expensive things poe sells some expensive things but i play the hell out of it, but i have played to many games that sell in games items that give you a huge advantage over some one that doesn't have item x. with this game we are going to have people that spent a hell of a lot of $$$$ being so far ahead on day one vs joe blow that just buys the game and unlike most games where only a few % of people might have some stuff they buy with $$$ in this game a large % of the people that will probably ever play it will have at least a few ships.

i hope i am wrong but you have $90 mill in ships in this game! that is a lot of in game items and i think the econ will be messed up for a while, but if it lives and gets big enough it should recover but with some many ships having LTI no mater how much you play you will never be on equal footing vs some one what has lots of ships with LTI.

look at eve, had eve sold cap ship before the game came out so that on day one you had corps running around with large cap ships that if it gets blown up they get a new one don't you think the econ would had been f up for a while?

like i said link me a game that has major items that you can buy that is not play to win and is balanced

i still hope SC is amazing though! we need more space sims:D

I'm back home, had to cut my stay in the UK to ~26 hours :(

All I can say is I always wanted to hit up a English pub and get drunk, mission fucking accomplished sir! I don't know how many drinks I actually had at the end up that trip, but I got to the pub about 11am and left at 2pm to walk half a mile to check in and shower. I shit you not I almost passed the fuck out while I was taking a shower. Walked back to the pub about 2:40 telling myself I was cut off, and then ordered one hell of a dinner and of course more beer, but also a coke lol. I pulled out 60 pounds from the ATM when I was there so I could buy drinks at CitizenCon. I have 40 left, I was to drunk by the time the event started I could only manage 3 drinks inside haha.

Unfortunately I didn't stay to get anything signed after the event was over, I was at about 48 hours running on maybe 2 hours of sleep and a steady stream of booze from the terminal club lounge in DC to the drinks on the plane and finally the drinks at the pub and CitizenCon. I wouldn't recommend doing that. I'm a professional drunk traveler :)

*I figured I would wait to get some more posters and some physical merch. etc.. and take a day trip out the LA and see if I can get some one to sign them then. I was amazed I got the posters home, only a little bit of damage to the sides which should get covered anyway. courtesy from the fuck heads at TSA.

Anyway lack of pictures as well since my phone was nearly dead and I had no US to UK plug converter :(

Here is my loot I managed to snag from the event:)

w00t, I got my first recruit and got my patches...now just need 4 more for my Fish Tank!

Oh and I got the Saber. I'm probably getting rid of my Gladiator, Gladius and Super Hornet at some point since the Vanguard and Saber pretty much take all those roles.

Nice, I wish they didn't do exclusive items for the Referal stuff though. I really hate that kind of stuff to be honest.

I with you on the Saber, I'm not sure If I'm going to scrap my Super Hornet yet. I did get a CCU to switch out my Andromeda in my Read Admiral pack to a Warden finally. I may wait to apply it though since Multi crew seems to be fairly close.

Ya, well I have a small armada now and I don't have the "armada pack" so I need to clear house, cause one man can't fly them all (or pay for that many AI).

Perfectly reasonable and consistent with the development so far.

In regards to planetside: …and then in the following year (2014) we’ll release sort of a planetside module which will be kind of a social module. That’s where you can go into the bar and talk to all the people, buy/sell stuff, upgrade your ship. ”
–Chris Roberts, Forbes May 2013 Interview

In regards to planetside again: “ The planet side module releases sometime next year (Chris tells us perhaps March or April) and will include the social aspects of being on a planet. You’ll be able to do things like go to the bar and chat. ”
–Chris Roberts MMORPG.com Interview, PAX East 2013

In regards to Squadren 42 and the Persistent Universe: “ [Then] an alpha of the single-player game, and then finally a beta of the persistent universe by the end of the year (2014).

More on SQ42 and the PU: “ Further out is the single player alpha (roughly August 2014) and the alpha for system universe (again, roughly December 2014). ”

In regards to the PU: …and then a beta of the persistent universe by the end of the year (2014), which essentially is bringing all of these things into one holistic piece, and then we’ll go live after the beta which I would anticipate would probably be sometime in early 2015. But essentially from the end of 2014 you should be able to play the full game, it’ll just be beta because there obviously still will be things to tweak and balance, and we’ll try and keep the player base constrained until after we’ve gone through beta, because, you know, it’s not really a beta if you’ve got a million players. ”
–Chris Roberts, Forbes May 2013 Interview

More on the PU: [… We] plan to launch the Persistent Universe sometime in 2015 and expect to have all the features we’ve talked about to date implemented and functioning (with the help of the community which will be testing them) over the course of the ensuing year. ”
–Ben Lesnick on April 25, 2014

And even more: “ The backers should be able to fly around in a small version of a persistent universe toward the end of next year. ”
–Chris Roberts on June 16, 2014
