I don't know if anyone even remembers me well after all these years LOL. I missed this forum. I found it really hard to be here the last few years because I really couldn't afford to build a new PC, and mine was not holding up so well. The jealous-ness was overwhelming haha. But I finally have upgraded, and now I don't feel so bad ;)

How is the folding scene going? Who is still around from back then? How's the team? If it's still worthwhile and useful, I totally would start it up again :) Either on the new PC, or use my old one.. which still works, and I have it setup still.

I remember I stopped during the summer because I absolutely hate the air conditioner, and try to use it as sparingly as possible. Hate the noise and having to have the windows closed. And my old PC would heat up quick while folding. This one has much better airflow and the temps are much better, so now it probably wouldn't be so much of an issue :)

I hope everyone is doing well, and is still around! I was going through my old private messages, and found the one of my interview. Aw, I was so much more of a noob back then than I even am now ;)
 
Syribo, I probably wasn't around the time you are talking. Many of the folders recently stopped due to being fed up with PG and FF. Some have mosied over to BOINC projects and some quit altogether. We still have a few lingering at FAH. So, you have come back at a time where many are re-discovering things. FAH may not be as exciting as it once was, but you will find some still helping the cause. If you are interested in joining many of us with BOINC projects, feel free to jump in one of the various threads we have or chime in here and we would be happy to get you started. We already have a lot of materials to assist.

Regardless what you choose, we are glad to have you back. :D
 
Nice to see you dropping in there Sweety! A lot has changes since you've been hanging out. Most aren't folding these days but have migrated to BOINC, but I'm still crunching some BA's while they're still available. The entire F@H landscape has changes a lot since VJ and the FF group have pissed so many people off.

I had to actually go look up what BOINC and bunkering even is haha. Wow, it really HAS been a while! Glad to see people are still around, though :) I missed this forum. Feels good to be here now that I don't have hardware-envy any longer haha.

I'm gonna read up some of the posts and guides on this new stuff :)

You're in luck. The WCG section (World Community Grid, a project that can be run via BOINC) on the guides has seen a nice revamp and has tons of info to get you started. Most things you might be wondering are now in one easy location to reference.
