What's going on with the sudden increased in AMD used cards in FS/FT? And for the most part, reasonable pricing compared to a month ago. Bitcoin die?

If I have to take a guess. ASIC miners will be out soon and they're trying to unload to inventory to offset?

yugo....hahaha
they dont still make those 3 cynlindar shit boxes do they?
one of my classmates had one back in 1984....
altcoins have dropped in value and the profit/consumption ratio for electric and summer time coming makes it worthless to do any scrypt mining. I dont think it will be back anytime soon either with dedicated scrypt miners coming out finally
What about the risk factor in buying one of these cards that have likely been run 24/7 to within an inch of thier lives.
I wouldn't buy one. Wait a little longer for new stock prices to fall, then buy with confidence.
Prices are finally coming back to Earth. Last week I saw a 280X on Newegg for $325 and I jumped on it for my brand new rig.
I feel sorry for anyone that buys one of these "never used for mining" cards then has to deal with RMA when it smokes after having 8000 hours on it.
I know video cards that have more hours at load from guys playing world of warcraft.

I was totally and completely enamored by that game with Vanilla and the expansion Burning Crusade. I spent way more time than was healthy playing that stupid game.
I'm MMO'ed out these days. Don't really think I can ever get the same feeling of "whoa" as I did when I had started WoW in late 2004. Man that was such a great game at the time. Perfection really.
LMAO
Load gaming and load mining are two very different kinds of load. Scrypt would make my 580's heat the entire room. Gaming could never do that.
Hopefully the mining thing will go away. Because I don't think AMD ever intended their latest gen cards to turn into mining platforms. But they got bought up by miners. So basically that great value price that AMD is offering isn't really benefitting its intended customers right now.
I was at Fry's here in the Seattle area and I spotted an Asus R9290x on "sale" for $899.99...Ok.

Profitability in all the alt-coins are down as there's now a glut of a ton of crap coins that no one cares about other than pumping and dumping. Litecoin difficulty is high, Doge is doing decent, everything else is sucking wind. Basically folks are seeing that they won't pay for their cards in 2-3 months and will be lucky to make money on top of power consumption, thus are bailing before the cards drop in value.
Don't worry nobody is impressed by XFX.
